Wow - plumbing approaching an art form. It’s like looking at a custom motorcycle. Both attractive and functional. I know that some custom motorcycles can cost in excess of $50k, and can imagine that this system might be about the same.
Gorgeous!Old school soldering.False wall, etc.brilliant.Be proud.Baking soda mix to clean/ neutralise flux and subsequent patina to keep it looking great yrs.fr.now would be good too. Some Pro_press joint jobs look alright too.Cut down on labour time.
As a fellow HVAC/Hydronic Tech......AWESOME job.....!!!!! reminds me of my type of attention to detail as well as my firm belief that all piping should be a work of art.....again.... Great job!!!!👍👍👍
Nice work! I see you are based in my old stomping grounds. Now I do boiler retrofits in the lower mainland. I'll look you up next time I pass through town.
As a homeowner with a 16-year-old Buderus GB145 install, I can "TRULY" appreciate your 1) Passion, 2) Knowledge, 3) Genuine and Thoughful Approach, and lastly, 4) Attention to Details with Installation.
Hats off to you Sir, it's not every day you see installs like this. I am very impressed and it's great to see others still taking pride in craftsmanship. Ok have a Navien install I did 2 years ago I will share some pics.
Wow I’m a plumber/fitter from pg as well and I have to say this is the most beautiful and professional installation I’ve ever seen. Nice to see a quality job. Nice work
I am very impressed with your install, it looks really amazing, you definitely take pride of your work. Keep sharing your videos, and I will follow your channel. great job!!!!!!
Bro I can't believe how pretty that is. I LOVE hydronics and try to learn as much as I can, but I've never seen anything like this. Unreal man. I'd love to work for you.
Excellent install I love doing clean installs I just wish every boiler room in NYC I worked in had that amount of room to work with....and I love the fact you soldered everything Excellent job man New subscriber here
Thank you for your fantastic set up it is truly impressive ... your information is clear and detailed... this is why i view RU-vid... exceptional work sir👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Stellar job sir that is a truly a work of art, I’m thinking about installing one and installing gas to replace an existing oil boiler. Very cool how the zoning works and that the first zone used is the last to come back, thanks for sharing.
Nice job. No Pro Press just nice neat solder work with some Pex crimps. You are absolutely right. Copper piping is an art and not just anybody can make it look professional. I am a 35 year plumber and I always say people do not know what’s installed right but they know what looks good.
Beautiful man. I go ocd on my mechanical room details. Also I do the same in the electrical panel. Never give anyone an excuse to call out anything. Especially an inspector. Cheers from Montana.
I'm not going to lie here but, THANK YOU! This is what I would Expect from a Professional I can not even begin to tell you some of the service work I have had to do when I walk in and was told something was done by a professional only to think WTF. With my OCD the only thing missing is the White board background with the Blueprints of the layout behind it. Wonderful work.
@@canuckmechanical6490 yeah no one wants to pay for good work and when someone does call they are looking for the Lowe's DIY Installer... My favorite one locally here was someone tapped a Exhaust Dryer stack straight into the Sewer vent line. I got a call to help and found the sewer backed up enough about 12 inches over the drain grade and filled the drier vent with Bathroom waste.
James , your workman ship is OUTSTANDING , It nice to know there are a hand full of guys that go above and beyond when they do a job .. I am going to install a NCB-150E( when the weather warms up ) the direction call out using SCH -40 2" on the intake and exhaust what is the advantage to the Gray centrothem pipe ??? Thanks Pete from L.I. NY
Just a min. Requirements in Canada in British Columbia for our gas codes ...suppose to have for the high temps 90c ...thanks again for the kind words ...it’s fun to push workmanship and standards above and beyond
James, looks great. I'm curious: 1. Why are the zones not fed with 1-1/4" pipe? 2. With so many zones, wouldn't the Taco e007 or any other circulator that modulates flow as needed be a batter fit than a single speed circulator? Personal note; I never like to put zone valves so close together; it makes working on them difficult for future diagnosing.
I felt like this video came out of an HVAC museum or something. Beautiful piping job. Couple of things: didn't see a condensate neutralizer, can't tell where the condensate is being dumped. Also, didn't see and ODR sensor, but it probably would be problematic to use with the radiant together with some other (unknown) type of radiation. The minimum firing rate of NFC-175 is about 18kbtu/h -- I'm pretty sure that when the smallest zone calls for heat it will not be able to dump that much (leading to short-cycling). What is the design temp for your location?
You are correct there is no neutralizer in this case was no really required but normally are installed depending on drainage pipe...about -10 for a design temp it can fluctuate greatly however. Thanks for the kind words :)
There're so many small details to love about this install that usually aren't present. Such as valves on air bleeders for easy service, temperature gauges, drip leg cap has been lined up for easier painting if required and so much more! However, I'm unsure why dielectric unions were used on the discharge lines for the reliefs. Would standard unions not be sufficient?
