Ironically the year before it was Hue Hollins who did not blow the whistle in that Charles Smith game He actually helped the Bulls overcome a 2-0 deficit in 93
@@chrisuncleahmad Probably was on Hollins mind all year when he swallowed the whistle in 1993, thus the foul on Pippen... Losing to the Bulls without MJ would have been beyond embarassing..
The Knicks were made to pay for that “Phantom” foul on Hubert Davis by Scottie Pippen 2 seasons later where both teams met again at the 1996 ECSF. The Knicks were at the wrong of a “Phantom” call themselves in Game 4 at MSG where the Knicks trailed by 3 at the dying moments, John Starks appeared to have a legitimate 3-pointer which would have tied the game and sent it to OT ruled out for a “Phantom” travelling violation call on Anthony Mason. The Bulls with MJ back and Dennis Rodman added to the team got away with a 94-91 win and a 3-1 lead and eventually finished the Knicks off in just 5 games.
@michaelallen8112 Pippen still had 2.1 seconds left to make a play but Pippen wasn't built like that, he aint clutch. Pippen cried about not getting da last shot in game 3 when Kukoc saved Pippen and in game 5 it was Pippen great chance to redeem himself but once again Pippen wasn't built like that lol. When u REACH I TEACH
The Bulls should've been able to take advantage of Derek Harper missing for the Knicks. I agree that if Hue Hollins doesn’t make that crucial call at the end to decide the game, the Bulls are in a much better position to win that series and likely make it to another NBA Finals, but Derek Harper was one of the keys to the Knicks getting to the championship round. Missing him should've allowed the Bulls to outpace the Knicks. Opportunity missed.
The NBA couldn’t have the Bulls win the Finals much less make it WITHOUT JORDAN - because then that would make Jordan not look as good - if they won without him
20:00 Pippen exposed for his lack of alpha credentials. He has Starks in a post up and chooses to pass with the shot clock winding down. This is what happens when you lack a closer. They were able to mask that in the regular season, but it caught up with them in the playoffs
@@redpillfreedom6692 Pippen foolishly spun into the double team to his left rather than away from it to his right where he could've got a turn around jumper off
That "phantom call" is such as myth. Pippin clearly hit Davis on the follow thru. Anyone who's ever played ball knows that even if u hit on the follow thru its still a foul. NOT TO MENTION the bulls were already in the penalty. Dumb play by pippin but Davis still had to hit two clutch free throws which he did. Truth is, if kukoc doesn't bail the bulls out in game 3 (while pippin whined on the bench) the knicks would've won in 5 games. And the only reason why game 5 was as close as it was if u remember Derek harper got suspended for a stupid fight with jojo white. Not to mention the bulls still could've won game 7 which they lost by double digits.... KNICKS WON RIGHTFULLY.
Even if THAT infamous foul is never whistled (I assume CHI wins game 6 up 3-2)…… are we sure the Bulls would have beaten Indiana in the Eastern Conference Finals?
Man that Indy series would’ve been difficult because the Pacers were playing so well in the playoffs. Even though the Bulls swept the season series similar to how NY did Indy, that would’ve been a battle. I use to say yes because back than I used to base things on how the regular season turned up but knowing that the RS only gives a you a brief glimpse, but it’s it not the determining factor in a 7 game series.
@@michaelallen8112 fella Pippen were supposed to fight and do what he have to do and get opened fella lol. So da Knicks were supposed to allow Pippen free reigns to da pass ???
