I was born in '64 and recall peacock spreading his feathers animation from late 60s but had forgotten NBC used it up until mid 70s (I believe) Also liked NBC snake animation with iconic 3 tone music. Nice memories!
The Peacock logo at 5:08 was called the “Laramie Peacock”, since it debuted on the western show called Laramie That logo was shortened in the mid 60’s, but the long form was still used from time to time for specials. In the mid 60’s it was shortened (9:39)

4:30 Lamb Chop, created by Shari Lewis, is now owned by DreamWorks, who’s owned by Universal Pictures, who’s owned by NBCUniversal, who bought NBC, who’s owned by Comcast. See how thaaaaaaaat works? 😂
Ummm, not quite. The Lamb chop character was sold to DreamWorks before it was sold to NBCUniversal. Shari's daughter Mallory owns the live performance rights to the character. Also NBC's former parent company, General Electric set up a merger between NBC and French media conglomerate Vivendi Universal's entertainment division, which includes Universal Pictures (except Universal Music Group) in 2005 to form NBC Universal. Comcast later brought GE's 60% steak in NBC Universal and brought the rest in 2009.
