Minnesota vs Northwestern as we have already reached the midway point of season 2. Minnesota's two game losing streak has been concerning with the offense playing poorly. Against a struggling Northwestern squad it would help getting to 3-3 at the halfway point before a non-conference game next week.

The weakness of the QB play is obvious, as I've said on earlier videos: he takes too damn long to get the ball out, and he aims for receivers where the potential high reward is still less than the extreme risk. Plenty of plays happen where he could throw for the three yard gain, but ignores it out of an obsession with...possible highlight reels, I guess. To state this even more bluntly: IMPATIENCE is what's killing you.

Hey man. This is not to be a hater, 'cause I like your commentary and recruiting. But dude! Throw to the open recievers! You lock on to a reciever before the snap, and that is why your passing game doesn't work. Try to scan the field. Most of the plays where you throw INTs and get sacked, you have 1 or 2 open recievers.

With me following this series, when I see Minnesota play on tv I actually go for them. (Currently watching the Nebraska vs Minnesota game) and they are doing pretty damn good at the moment. P. Nelson threw a deep TD pass. (17-10)

I know this is many years after this is made but Phillip Nelson needs the bench after 20 INTS in year 1 and his constant turnovers this year, Mitch Liedner was good for real life minny and needs a shot here!

Yea I know. I did the same thing with the sliders for WWE13 and it made it way harder even in Legend mode which Legend difficulty is a joke if you don't change the sliders.

Love this series Cane. Liked that you showed much recruiting. But you should add a stud Pass Rusher and a Cover LB. Looking at the game it was really a bad job by the offense. Like you said way to many 3&longs. Offense was lucky enough that they got both Red Zone attemps to TDs could have looked way worse! Defense looked decent. Allowed too many yards but forced them into a lot of Kicks. One major weekness of the defense this game was ironically on 3&long. NW got like 2 or 3 of those converted.

Hey Cane, you know about Bud Grant out of Minnesota? Dude played football, basketball, and baseball at Minnesota and played in the NFL and CFL and NBA and is in the NFL and CFL Hall of Fame. Talk about an athlete!

For everyone saying it’s Cane, or its the game, I think it is a mix of both. Cane isn’t making the best of reads, but it isn’t like Nelson is giving him much help anyway. He is way to inaccurate. It is so hard to watch!!! Mainly knowing that we get guys like Andy McKenzie later on in the series.

Spread out the defense. Maybe some 5 wide since you struggle to through your limited reads

I know you're well aware of your deficient O-line, but if you get that pocket passer QB, you're going to need an O-line overhaul BIG TIME! That 52 carrying stat will destroy you if he gets hit on a regular basis

That play they converted at 10:45 was a dagger...also...you really gotta get rid of the ball quicker...with as much pressure as defenses are getting try running some draw plays and screen passes. Kirkwood seems to be pretty decent so you need to get him the ball a bit more. Defensively you really need to get some pressure on the QB. Play some man and press the receivers. Maybe some man under with a 2 deep zone?

Hey Cane how do you make your games so hard to win? What rules are you playing by? I get a record of at least 10 and 3 no matter the team? I play on Heisman but I can't seem to make a game close I always win by like 21-35? And I don't run money plays? I just run plays that I like mostly passes but I know how to pass very well but still I want to make a game as hard as yours?

i know you said you don't like to control your corners or safeties when the ball in the air so the player's skills show and not your user skills, but im sure you would do a whole lot better if you just ball hawked. plus leave your safeties back if they arent blitzing. you move them up pre snap and get beat.

Cane needs to learn how to throw it away, there are many times where he trys to scramble instead of throwing it away. Also, try press man coverage from time to time, because i know you are zone defense type of player.

Not so "Defense" guy neither :P I think your problem is the O-line and the defensive backs... Try playing west coast, short, fast passes... Avoid doing PA plays, when you finish faking the PA you already have pressure from the D-Line, use more curl routes, and from time to time make someone go long just to see if he can burn his defender... For Defense, try sending some blitz, and don't forget to adjust a LB to Spy or Contain for scrambling QBs

do more out routes you throw over the middle WAY too much and make kirkwood more of the passing game i think that could make the offense have more firepower

You guys need to face that the team sucks. Which means whatever sliders Cane is using are playing to the ratings really well. Nelson is garbage. Cane is doing the best he can.
