@@taeblends There are still many people who don't know. But some Chinese seem to be unhappy when someone mentions his Thai mother. Lately they have started telling people that Lucas's mother might also be of Chinese descent. Lucas could be 75% or 100% Chinese. 😶😬

Actually, it's not a problem whether he is more Chinese or more Thai or half-Chinese-Thai. He is still Lucas. Only some comments from Chinese that offend me saying, “Chinese people are known to be the prettiest people in Thailand, this is fact. (🧐Yes Chinese are pretty but fact from whom?) So his mom is pretty then she may be of Chinese descent and he may not have any of Thai blood" or "his mom can speak Cantonese fluently so she could be of Chinese descent, non Hongkonger will never be able to speak Cantonese fluently!" (even his mom lives there in HK for 20years+ but some Chinese still don't believe she can if she was pure Thai). These are said by Chinese and the reasons are cringe and disrespect to Thais af.

You are everywhere...lol As a Chinese person, I feel insulted seeing thai people like you constantly insist on every single post whenever someone raise the idea Lucas' mom might have Chinese blood due to the fact Lucas only understands Cantonese and no Thai nor English. Lucas just said his mom is 100% thai but didn't say by nationality or ethnicity. He didn't state that she has no Chinese blood and only has other Thai blood. In all his childhood stories he told the wayv boys, lucas uses Cantonese in his family. Also It's almost impossible for a non hong kong person to raise her kid to only understand Cantonese when she herself doesn't speak fluent Cantonese(how did she communicate with Lucas?) So the fact lucas' mom more than likely has a chinese background is extremely high.and thus she can speak Cantonese fluently enough to raise her kids with it. Thai and Cantonese are completely different languages with zero similarity. Lucas' mom didn't live in hong kong for 20 years when she just met his father and when lucas was a baby. Why are you everywhere insulting Chinese people and feel ashamed that Lucas might be mostly Chinese blood? I didn't see any Chinese fans saying Chinese people are prettier than Thai.. who said that? They just have different facial features and beauty is subjective.

Ten is from Thailand but his family is Chinese. His nationality is Thai but his ethnicity is Chinese. Lucas is mixed bcuz his mom is Thai and his dad is Chinese.

Im chinese indonesian. Like other ethnically chinese ppl in SEA, we dont identify as chinese. I identify as an indonesian. Why? Cos ethnically, yes im chinese. But i dont even know who came from china in my family line. Chinese ppl migrated to SEA in 600 AD on frickin boats. Thats more than 1000 years ago. None of my family speaks chinese. And we have never gone to China. Most probably somewhere down the line my ancestors married natives as well, we really dont know. I still celebrate common traditions like CNY and red envelopes but thats it. Im indonesian 🇮🇩 pretty sure thats how ten feels too

@@drrreytos same like me.. I'm a filipino who migrated to Malaysia for almost 17 years.. some people assuming me as a Chinese just because I'm eyes is monolid.. But when my mom said to me that her mom which is my grandmother is half filipino Indonesian(jawa) and my grandfather from my mother side is also a filipino with Spanish blood.. I think it's normal when your facial feature doesn't look similar like your ethnicity

It is difficult for foreigners to understand what Chinese descent people are like in Thailand. Ten said he's Thai. So he's Thai, Lucas said he's half Thai then he's half Thai. We don't need to try to find the ethnic percentage in their blood. Just respect what they say.

I'm Cambodian chinese and same type of Chinese as most Thai Chinese. Centuries ago hundreds of thousands Teochew and other types of Chinese came into Cambodia and assimilated into the culture. During the Cambodian genocide over 200,000 Chinese were killed and we could not speak teochew so the language started dying 😭 most of the cambodian Americans I know are part Chinese but we call ourselves Cambodian

เราไทยจีน nobody actually cares tbh like soooo much Chinese culture is imbued into Thailand it’s become apart of our lives now. There is no arguing, if you’re Thai Chinese then you’re this Chinese lol that simple.

I’m honestly so intrigued and interested in all your comments. Really learning a lot. I try not to get too personal in affairs that I don’t really understand or doesn’t have any direct link to me. So I don’t dig and make up things I just work with whatever they say. As someone said before if they say that they are Thai or half Thai I’ll just work with what they say it’s their life if anyone knows anything about them it’s them 🤷🏽‍♀️. I’m from Jamaica in the Caribbean and it’s really interesting learning about these thing honestly because most of these things I didn’t know I was very ignorant sadly

Lucas only said his mom is thai but didn't state if she is thai by nationality or ethnicity. That he has his mother's eyes. When he was asked if his brother is as handsome as him, he said no but then he felt bad saying that afterward. LOL I don't recall he saying his brother looks more like his father.

@Tanya both his parents live in hongkong hence he hardly speaks thai, and because his mum’s side is from thailand they go to visit them sometimes and not actually live there, as for vernon his mum literally lives in Chicago and dad in korea and his sister actually goes back and forth from US to korea to live with both of them.

Also i think vernon’s parents are living separately because of work, because his mum has her art studio in US. I think so

No they are not. He lives in Hongkong with his family, and could only go visiting Thailand, his Mom's hometown, once a year, as in a vacation. It is what his statement meant.
