Being that I paint cars for a living; id carefully take the Scirroco apart fix as much rust as would be logical without too much invasive destruction and start putting miles on the ol girl. Which happens to be a serious Jewel.

I never seen a 58 AMC wgn that was a hardtop! Nice buy on your 51 Ford Tudor! I knew you were buying the 71 Chevy 2dr! The Scirocco if bought cheaper, I would get the paint less dent repair guys to do their magic to it and save it as a classic.

At 23:07 there was a cab and chassis of a Ford. You showed on screen it being a '40. It has styling of a mid 30's truck. I'm guessing anywhere a 34 and a 35.

The 1967-72 just appears neutered. It has that plain look, similar to the 1972-73 Jeep Commando. Both put off a vibe like the stylists weren't really trying. Hard to explain, but it just feels like something was missing that a '69 refresh and a '71 refresh couldn't fix. I think the disappointing look is amplified by the fact that the 1960-66, and the 1973-80 had a much better harmony of design

I owned an '81 Scirocco S (same body style) for a short while. It is a classic in that 80s and 90s cars are hot nowadays. I do think they paid too much compared to similar options of the era.

They don't do much for me either, but the whole thing was just so intriguing. A mint interior that smelled brand new, three assembly line tires, and a license plate the same model year as the car. Why was it stored away with just 3200 miles? I'd really like to know the story.

If that Scirocco really only was on the road for a year,that tells me something probably went wrong on it & the dealer wouldn't honor the warranty. But I'm thinking someone actually just did the 'Year of Manufacture' option on a 25+yr Classic/Antique registration,which is an option here in Texas? Might also have used the 'original' plates,too as 'QQB' in that series would be a late '77/very early '78 issue?

1950 Cad 1950 Caddy was about the best piece of metal on the lot. From what little (2 sides) was shown it looked pretty complete sunvisor, special headlight rings & bumpers . Anything newer than 1959 is just a rusty kleenex box on wheels, not much character or style. like that white 65 ford, The Barricuda was pretty clean but way too new for my taste.. love the trees growing up through some units..

Damn that Barracuda went for 16 what a freaking steal that car looked to be all original survivor car from what I could see of it. There's a bit of a hierarchy/pecking order. Chevrolet Caprices are the primary sought after ones, with the 1971-76 convertibles at the top. The 1980s box Caprices are next most desirable, then the 1990s bubble body Caprices
