Need for Speed Carbon PS2 vs PS3 Graphics Comparison 

FF12, can't miss out on that in this conversation. One of the best looking games on the PS2. They could have spruced up the res to 720p and cleaned up the aliasing and release it on the PS3 and it'd still be called one of the best looking games. Lots of early JRPGs on the PS3 looked similar to FF12

Most probably the PS3 version is just an upgrade from the PS2 version, like most early crossgen games.

​​@@XxSpyroKetchumxX NFS Carbon was one of the originals launch titles for the ps3 so it makes sense. What's cool is that that if you run the ps2 version through emulation at 4k 60fps, it can look better than the ps3 version in some ways.

Let's be real, it's not close. Way better textures, lights, reflections, better models, and the image is not blurry anymore.

Some cars also sound different in the PS2 and PS3 ports as well but aside from that they're pretty much the same

More of a timing thing: Most Wanted released on November 11, 2005; Xbox 360 released on November 22, 2005; The PS3 was released (exacly) on November 11, 2006 with NFS Carbon as a launch title. And sadly EA probably didn’t care enough to port the game to the PS3 1 year later, since NFS was in the “yearly release” phase.

Pc version with a wide-screen fix at native 4k is best

i never tried the ps3 version but i can tell you from experience the 360 video quality in this game wasnt that great lol

The race wars only existed in PS3, X360 and PC port. For some reason, the PC version only have 12 racers instead of 20 in that mode.

Я тут все сокрушаюсь, что NFS Most Wanted 2005 для PC портировали версию для Xbox Original, а не Xbox 360. Последняя намного красивее и детализированнее, с кучей новых эффектов и внятной дистанцией прорисовки. И выглядит в разы круче, чем все эти фанатские HD-поделки-сборки для PC. Минус X360-версии в том, что это ранняя игра поколения и у нее очень неровный фреймпейсинг (несколько некомфортно играть)

@@dmer-zy3rb The graphics on PS2 were quite good, it even had the orange effect that the gamecube version did not have for some reason that I don't know, it's a frame rate issue, it did have several drops but nothing serious
