Need To Make a Lot of Copies? Use Vectric's Array Copy and Merge Tool Path Functions

If you have a job that you need to make a lot of copies of a part on a single machine of material, there are a couple tips in this video that can speed up not only copying process but the tool path process as well using Vectric's Array Copy Toolpath and Merge Toolpath functions.

What happens when each operation requires a different tool? It doesn’t seem like it would be very efficient to do one part at a time and keep changing tools

Is there still a way to use job array toolpathing if you are using different size bits in the same male inlay? in your example, can you tell vcarve to pause the machine after all the center holes are cut and then change to a smaller bit for the outer holes?

Thanks for the video, if you need 4 copies, all equal, I want to cut , 2 horizontal and 2 upside down, so I can waste less.. that's what I'm thinking in doing to cut more pieces from the same piece of wood. What command should I use?

What about tool change? Merged tool path is going to have tons of tool changes

Merged tool path only works if ll the paths use the same tool.

Great when all with one tool, have yet to find someone tell how to make duplicate parts with 3 or 4 tool changes

Only works with VCarve Pro. Not Desktop.

Such a shame the toolpaths cannot be merged with the vector so that each item can be moved freely.
