This video we, Ed&Mel, dive deep into Neem Oil!
There are many benefits & no down side to speak of! We would love to tell you all about our love for this 100% natural product that is not only good for us, the environment & our pets.. But also for plants, birds & all mammals - everything but creepy-crawlies!!!
How we Mix: (& used within one day)
Spray is 10 parts water to 1 part neem oil & one drop of Blue Dawn dish soap. Mix together, we find that warm water works best for mixing. Use within the day, as neem oil starts to break down if left in the water longer than a day.
Shampoo is 2 parts shampoo to one part neem oil. Mix together & put fur. Leave lather on fur for up to 10 minutes for maximum benefits. (We do this every wash)

Don't try to mix Neem oil with anything water based to thin it out. Use liquid coconut oil instead. You want it to actually mix so it spreads out even. Not create a temporary emulsification.

Thank you so much for taking time to make this. It gave me courage to try Neem on myself. I've been battling what I believed was ear mites. Went to two doctors about it, with no real results fighting them. One even told me humans don't get them. It is rare, but we can. The second doctor did acknowledge and tried to fight them with a horrible med that you wear on whole body for14 hrs. and burns like all get out when applied. I could not find the 100% Neem oil, I had been to three stores and wanted to try right away, so settled for 70% Triple Action Neem Oil. At least it smelled ok, kind of like oranges. I mixed it 3 tablespoons per gallon of warm water. Directions said 2-4 Tbsp so I decided on 3. I did spray my whole body and hair while in bathtub and allowed to stay 10 minutes and then showered, shampooed good. Hallelujah. Relief.... I will repeat. maybe even today should bites start up. I did have some Keto and steroid cream to help with antifungal and irritation the mites had caused. Thanks again for giving me courage to try this precious God given gift, Neem.

Can I just add that neem is amazing for your skin in general. It smells bad but add a drop to your moisturiser and in a couple of weeks you'll notice a difference. It's an amazing beauty product.

Neem oil works for me and my 3 dogs and 2 cats. I bathe them in it. Also, mixing Neem oil into shampoo for humans helps to prevent and kill head lice without toxic consequences. Just one washing with Neem oil mixed into the shampoo should the problem. Great video.

I bought neem oil to treat my dogs itching and skin infection and the bottle said for pets it can be used undiluted. I put on her skin and after awhile I caught her licking it and she threw up, her nose also was dripping before she did. I tried calling her vet and spoke to a technician who said the vet probably wouldn't know much about it and said their PetMd program said it was non-toxic and that the neem oil probably didn't cause it, but it's the only thing we've done differently this morning and she threw up. After looking online searching can neem oil make dog vomit and it said it can and can also cause respiratory distress, convulsions, etc. I called the ER vet and they said they couldn't give medical advice over the phone and suggested i call the ASPCA Poison Control, which has a $90 fee. I called the regular Poison Control who tried to look into it for me and said with the info they have aspiration could cause respiratory distress. I asked if it could react with her medication and cause her to vomit and I think he said possibly. She'd been outside the whole time so lots of air vs being inside but the smell might've been too much for her as well I'm wondering, contributing to it. Either way, stinks that it's so hard to get poisoning info for your animal. Was wondering if anyone had a similar experience? I washed it all off her and washed her mouth area.

Neem is very safe. Even there is a dish eggplant and neem leave fry eaten during spring as a preventive to seasonal diseases and it kind of tasty too

yes i tried this on my cat, i mixed neem oil in the shampoo and lather them, it really works, and i put it in the ear and it clears the ear mites fast

Oh yes, the Triple Action Neem Oil smells a little like Oranges, so your suggestion of adding an essential oil when applying it is a good one. I am going to order the 100% Neem Oil and add sweet orange essential oil to it.

You mentioned mixing in essential oil to use on your pets. Make sure the essential oil is not one that is toxic to dogs and/or cats.

Do you do spray yourself down then wash it off? Will it be as effective with an organic soap vs Dawn? How about mixing neem oil with shea butter and applying it the to skin as a moisturizer daily?

@@TenLairsDeep how about in the spring and summer? My indoor cat some how got fleas in the middle of winter. I am fighting them with natural ways so would like to give this a shot.

Shoot, so sorry to hear that! If you have fleas currently, take a little Dawn soap (the one with the little duckling on the label) deputed in water and give you cat a bath (if possible) and the dawn soap will kill the Fleas instantly. Then apply the neem oil once a month as a preventative.

The same with me, he scratches less after administration, but there are still fleas on him the day after.... I do put on him almost daily, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong 🤔
