Did you conveniently forget that Negan had a harem of women he called his "wives"? And he got all these wives by controlling all the resources and essentially coercing them to give him sex for access to said supplies. Not exactly, it’s still really weird but not as bad as what you said. He pretty much would offer to take someone as one of his many wives if said person needed to be looked after of a privilege so to speak. Only moment that is like what you said is with Dwight, but he stole a bunch of medical supplies, killed some men and took off with his wife and sister in law. Negan doesn’t kill women so Dwight’s wife was naturally going to be spared but Dwight on the other hand was handed a death sentence but it was one Negan would overlook if Dwight’s wife would become Negan’s wife instead.
