Great episode guys. Couldn't agree with Derek more. It's not just the manager, it's the coaches that are expected to bring those players up to the right standard and to maintain that standard and if Lenny wasn't allowed to bring those coaches in, then that's the board that's at fault, not Lenny. I think a Director of Football and Head Coach role is required now.
As a rangers fan! mcavennie is right! If players don't show up for one manager what to say they won't do the same with others! Rangers and Celtic are massive clubs and it should be a privilege to play for both clubs! I understand, young talented players see it as a stepping-stone but.. both clubs are one of the best supported in Europe if not the world. We have it all bar the financial support! And if they won't play for there manager for what ever reason let them go.
Slaney totally right about first old firm game -Celtic fans would never would have let them away with that performance-same as the last game at Ibrox when Celtic ran riot in the first half and Rangers fans would have been going daft . I’ve seen games down South as well where big teams have had tough games and gone behind then later folded Aston Villa beating Liverpool 7-2 , if fans were there they’d have got behind them and surely never have conceded 7 goals .
What Si said about Rodgers being the best and Worst thing to happen to Celtic is very true. IMO the same thing will happen Rangers I hope it doesn't but who can we get to Replace Gerrard when he leaves for England ? Lampard ;)
Our problems go way back to the Martin oneil era if ask me in terms of the board..after we lost in the UEFA cup final the season after that we shoulda built on it by adding 2 or 3 other world class players and we could've been a dominant force in champs league and bring in more revenue but they never and weve went downhill ever since
Such a shame, they won 9 in a row and because of one bad season he is to scapegoat. I really don't like what Celtic did but it shows how unrealistic hopes they have for a team who is currently losing their crown for an up and coming top Rangers team. There must have been a year they would lose, not to say Celtics were in this same position the following season, at least you would understand the departure. There is no such thing as perfection. This manager merry go round has to stop in sports.
