If you are a programmer you will know why the filcker in the player sprites occur. Nes PPU (picture processing unit) cannot process more than 4 foreground sprites consecutively in its memory.. the devs actually came up with a clever way to cycle between sprites, switching them on and off in alternate frames! Nifty Hack..
