As a native American Indian I really enjoyed listening to the rock music back in the day. Nothing better to do than cruze up and down main street in small town USA. Listening to Nelson on the 16 thousand dollar Alpine system.
Oh, man! It's been a good 25 yrs since I''ve heard Nelson. This was my favorite by them. Still is. ❤ Oh, Nelson trivia. Who is their father? The Famous Ricky Nelson.
You're right. Their grandfather Ozzy Nelson's band had a #1 song. A lot of talent in the band. Keyboard player is Paul Mirkovich. He has been Cher's and Pink's musical director before he became the musical director/keyboard player on The Voice. There's a really good interview with Lyndsey Parker and Gunnar and Matthew Nelson. They talk about their father's plane crash. They were supposed to have been on the plane with him. He called last minute and told them just to meet him where the plane was flying to. They decided to stay home. They had a narcissistic mom. They talk about her in the interview. It was a really good. My son was really into Nelson so we saw them a few times. I would like to suggest you look into the young guitar player Taj Farrant. He's going to be 15 next week. His own original songs are blues/rock. He's had 4 songs go to #1on the iTunes blues charts. I suggest you watch him play Gary Moore's Parisienne Walkways. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PMdqV4xfUe4.htmlsi=XWNHLP17tOMCa4-M
This entire album saved my life when I was a kid especially this song! I was being abused at the hands of a neighbor and this song and "Hell Is For Children" by Pat Benatar became my songs of survival
I absolutely loved them. The whole album is excellent as are their other albums. Each is different. They are extremely talented musicians and deserved better from the record company at the time. They were only about 22 or 23 there.
Tracy was a guest on a John Edward mediumship show,as one oif the celebrities that he read without knowing who they were. After the reveal, the twins joined her on stage. Gunnar was saying that the twins were packed and ready to go on that last tour with their dad and the Stone Canyon Band. Rick told them," you know, I feel like you shouldn't come on this trip."
On this Album. 30:20 seconds in...is 1 of my many favorite piano pieces,..but this little snippet,..is On that List. Hpe ya give it a listen. That's exact time btw.. This tune,..is soooo good! There was so much going on back then,..They were Popular AF,..but so were alot of bands at the same time,..lots got drowned out by so many good bands. But trust me,.while listenin to Skid and Dokken,.we listened to Nelson too,..along with Steelheart and Trixter, and Warrent,..and Firehouse,.etc LMAO . Peace.
I'd call it more cultural appreciation,in this case. Gunnar Nelson actually had a dream featuring a Native mystic. He thought of the father's line to the son, thinking of the worst thing that he was told as a teen. " You will never amount to anything!"
The drunk deadbeat's wife in the video is the brother's real life sister, in case u didn't know. Tracy, I believe is her name. I remember her from Down and Out In Beverly Hills. & if you hear closely, the t.v. is playing The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, the kids' grandparents show which also starred their young father, Ricky.
Tracy survived a case of Hodgkins lymphoma. She said that she was really feeling sick. She had a dream that she picked up a phone and heard her dad's voice on the phone saying, " Tracy, you're sick! You have to see a doctor." The doctor said, " I have bad news and good news." She had cancer, but it was Hodgkin's. That's one of the most treatable forms.
yup... and the reason why they got called "Indians" is because when Europeans discovered the lands of America, they initially thought they sailed all the way to India and that they discovered true Indians. They did not anticipate the Americas as a land mass to be there.
Well done, but I hate to break it to you. The indians were warring, stealing each others land, taking slaves, and serving each other for dinner. Columbus was looking at the most primitive people on the face of the earth.
