Beautiful she’s wearing a bracelet he gave to her.it was recently sold at auction she was so in love and the pain that she must have felt never being able to show it more towards eddy
Good afternoon, Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy will be eternal. I grew up listening to my mother talk about them and I also fell in love with their movies and songs. I live in Brazil and my English is very simple, so I can't quite understand the dialogue in this video, could someone please write it??? I would be eternally grateful. Goodbye
N.E. sings the song he sang, at her wedding to Gene Raymond. JM says that when they were parking their car the night of this tv show (& she didnt know she was there to be saluted with an episode of This Is Yr Life cause that was meant to be a surprise for the guest each episode), she asked where they could park and the attendant said, Right over there next to Nelson Eddy. The tv host says, We heard about that and dont think we werent scared (that she'd guess she was to be on This Is Yr Life that nite). Nelson calls her Jeanette and jokingly says I may call u that?, and her husband says, I give u my permission. Also husband tells Nelson, It sounds just as good as when u sang it at our wedding. Finally, N.E. says that was his most important or special gig, I think, when he got to sing at their wedding. Luciano, u may know that JM's marriage was not a happy one and she and Nelson were in love with each other their whole lives and had a long affair, but they both married other people in 1930's and Nelson's wife was going to take most of his $ if he divorced her. Sorry my recounting of dialog isn't longer.
If it is true that’s they had romance that listed some time, seeing her emotional reaction to hearing him singing ….. to the point of tears …. and seeing her husband’s reaction to it all …. well it all makes sense!
L.B. Mayer didn't want them to marry. He thought they would lose the chemistry they had together and he would lose all the money they brought in. And Jeanette's mother didn't like Nelson. You should read the book "Sweethearts by Sharon Rich.
