One of the club kids gained notoriety due being convicted of murder over a drug dispute with a local drug dealer amongst their crowd. His crimes were documented in the book Disco Bloodbath by fellow club kid by James St. James and later adapted to a movie called Party Monster. lady12480 Muzak version of Billy Joel, can find that genre under "Easy Listening." Used to be standard for almost all stores up until somewhere around the 90s, was designed to put people in a pleasant mood and more apt to spend money due to positive mood. The holiday muzak was particularly wonderful and festive. Music has gone down the toilet rapidly since the 90s (rap etc) so it's no more.

I’m sure Nelson’s mother’s spiced tea recipe was the same as my mom’s. 1 cup instant iced tea (plain, lemon, sweetened, unsweetened) 2 cups Tang instant breakfast drink 1 Tbs of allspice or pumpkin pie spice Mix ingredients together. To drink - Add one heaping tablespoon of the mix to a mug of boiling water. Stir to dissolve. Enjoy! ☕️

I was born in 1989. Me and my mom used to go to the CUB foods on Miami Circle that this fuy shops in. Then my brother was born, and we all went there together. My dad worked on the road back then and he'd come home every three months, and sometimes he'd take us on the road with him. It was a good time and a tumultuous time. It was full of love and all the things that create a broken home that I won't talk about. My dad had five kids, my mom had two. None of us really talk anymore, siblings or parents. That's it, I guess. Thats what these videos bring back. Im 34 now.

This is great. You know, what seems mundane in the present becomes fascinating many years later...mainly because of the changes that occur over the years. Who even thought then that this Big Star would be long gone by the time 2015 rolled around? Heck - I hardly remember when a Big Star was on Ponce. One just sort-of becomes numb to their environment at times - then develops an amnesia as the changes accrue over the years.

As someone who works at a grocery store night stocking since the early 2020s (2020 to be exact) and will probably be there for quite a few more years… I find this so fascinating to hear the music in the background and what all the product labels used to look like. The best part is the store I work plays a lot of 80s music.

This Big Star is now Publix. That was my initial "hunch" as I watched this gem, then I confirmed it by spotting a landmark across the street at about 0:27 (the church - which is, of course - still there). Funny - because the Publix building bears little-to-no resemblance to this Big Star...at least not at first glance. The entrances/exits are even different. I wonder if they just tore the Big Star building down, then rebuilt on the site?

Publix tears down all old buildings before they take over. I work at a Publix in the Atlanta area that used to be a big star and then an A&P. It makes no sense for Publix to tear down these buildings that used to be grocery stores. Why don’t they just use the same building?
