Nelson is a tier 6 premium royal navy battleship that should be considered the best T6 Battleship in the game. Nelsons 9 x 406mm guns feature the most powerful HE at Tier 6 and 7 (the Lion shares this HE) with 6900 damage apiece and a 46% fire chance. The AP is short fused, and the guns perform well with great accuracy. Nelson comes equipped with enhanced repair parties that heal back around 25,000 health apiece and a strong 32mm deck and side plating, that makes her resilient when angled. The question is, if Nelson is still good in 2023, after being in the game for years.

I have had the Nelson in my port for three years at this point. I take her out almost every weekend. I run Cunningham with Azur lane Scharnhorst for the accuracy and Robert Jaujard to get more penetration out of the AP shells to nail broadside battleships at slightly longer ranges and up close since the 16-inch guns on the Nelson don't have greatest penetration on the AP shells against Battleships. With this build I have managed to citadel more battleships up close when performing drive by's. Very nice review on the Nelson mate keep it up.

Nelson is one of the few BBs I do want. Just seems so fun and interesting to play. I like unique boats and she is one of them. Thank you.

The heal on Nelson is insane! Another vessel collided with me while I was at full health, had only ~1000 points left switched the repair party on and healed 95% of max hp😂😂

Hey Derka, Great video, love my Nelson. I was surprised to hear you call out the Scharnhorst as one of your BB picks at the tier. I've got the Scharnhorst and it doesn't seem to get that much love anymore. I think it's a very good ship and it might of been the second Premium I've bought. Thanks again, Chazpher

Maybe Scharnhorst isn't as competitive as she used to be, but she's still a lot of fun! I'd say the 2nd most competitive BB at T6 is Strasbourg after Nelson

@@donbrooker3837, Scharnhorst is a very good medium range brawler, highly underrated in my opinion. As long as you're just within range with the secondaries and keep that range, Scharnhorst is devastating if you know where to put those shots and you're accurate with the torps. It's incredibly difficult to citadel a Scharnhorst too, unless you're in shotgun range. The only downside to Scharnhorst is the piss poor armour on the turrets and the somewhat large turning radius.

I am considering to get HMS Nelson after getting Hyūga and Viribus Unitis. Plus I did citadel a Nelson when I was piloting my Tirpitz in one of my matches last time.

Nelson is fun. Gotta be patient and find a good position to make it pay off. It is fun to HE spam in British BBs. I think North Carolina and KGV are just a bit better but that might be a play style thing not stats wise. to each his own.

So, it's no secret to anyone who plays with me that I *hate* slow BBs. My disdain for them is such that I actually use Jellicoe on my Nelson. Heresy I know, but early on I got SO many Jellicoe dupes from commander crates that he was my first L4 commander, which annoyed me to no end. But throw in Burn it down, Crisscross, Velocious, and Reaching out, and you have quite the nimble Nelson and you still get 3 heals if you pick fully packed over WtR.

I have the Nelson but I actually prefer playing the KGV. The higher DPM is nice and despite slightly lower fire chance the faster fire rate makes up for it. I like the better maneuverability to disengage or switch positions. Surprisingly I like the frequent but smaller KGV heals more. I think the Nelson heal is very situational (being in a position that you can maximize the HP you recover while not being killed during the longer cooldown).

A hot Hood with a 37 knot top end is my go to for tier 6. The Nelson makes a strong case for second choice though.

I bought Nelson about 2 weeks ago, before that 30% off. After flix told me that it’s 30 percent off, I wanted to quit. But I’ve been enjoying Nelson, even tho my win rate is quite low in it. I find it consistent. I don’t have AL nelson so I use madden, extra heal, more survivability.

I’m running all in on ac on my colin wood and I did 170 k mainly with ap I would say up tier I would rather have her because you can more reliably kill cruisers than Nelson but both are very good in my opinion

I'm not much for buying ships, but I decided to buy this today because of your comparison with Collinwood. My win rate has been incredible with it. I have had 27 battles in it with 23 defeats. A 90% win rate is nothing to scoff at. I have only managed one Kraken, and my kills tend to be lower, but I am not set up for DPM. I have to admit love this ship.

I have the nelson and I was very happy with it, with a small angle it held up a lot, lately, for a month it has been a strainer, even with the Nelson commander, it does not go well. I guess the game treats me bad for not buying anything.

As for me Nelson is one of the best tier 6 (7 in PC version) one of the best ships. Even though I never played it, but I also really like Lyon, 16 guns slap cruisers really hard, and can also burn battleships with HE. And has reliable armour when angled and fast speed

I had to look up my stats as I'd say Nelson and Hood are my two of my favorites at the tier as far as BB's go. Both are 67% WR with 87k average damage...identical. I do prefer Hood's playstyle over Nelson as it's a bit more mobile and free flowing. As far as best BB at the tier...as much I hate to admit it since I despise the playstyle...Sinop takes the cake. Best damage dealer at the tier has to be Lyon, but not nearly as effective at winning games. Any which way you look at it, Nelson is a top performer and credit printer.

Still the best tier 6, my picks would be the same as yours, though i do think Sinop (yes it isn't a premium but still) would do better at tier 7 most of the time thanks to the armor, Nelson is really squishy even with that 32, that most players can't use This game tho, loosing a 150k 2k xp and 2 dev strike at tier 6 is fun
