Even if I played only the very first Contra game on NES. Couldn't play any other, like Shattered Soldier and Neo... But goddamn!... I'd wish to turn back time and play it! It's so emotional! And that was PS2 game! The insanity of Contra setting is incredible! Probably one of the best run'n'gun with badass but at some point tragic storyline at the same time.
It's a good speech. It's Bill talking directly to the player to carry the spirit of the Contra franchise. Bill lived as a soldier and died as one. Neo-Contra changed the ost to give an inspirational and wistful goodbye to its central protagonist.

Idk man. Contra 4 is so plain Jane, vanilla basic compared to the aesthetic of Shattered Soldier and Neo Contra. Yeah the script was pretty bad here. The story didn’t make too much sense, but the futuristic aesthetic should definitely stay, as opposed to the usual buff bandana jungle guerilla Hard Corps Uprising was also interesting due to changing up the “feeling” OG Contra games are great but I feel like they only go so far
