Cheers man! I love the sound design workflow and it's great for experimentation. The virtual rack idea - being able to route audio or CV cables anywhere just offers so many opportunities for cool sounds. Now that it's available as a VST Plugin in any DAW, it's become a integral part of my workflow. Alongside my other favourite VSTs, I have multiple instances of Reason ready to go in my DAW templates with my favourite sounds, but I also have a blank instance to encourage experimentation!
The rack is super cool and intuitive once you get the hang of it. Reason studios have just launched the Reason + service which gives you access to the DAW, the Reason Pack plugin, every device they make and all future updates + additions, but because there are so many great devices included, the sub includes curated packs of synth patches every week to get you started. I've made some of these packs so I'm a little biased, but you could trial the software for a month or so and see if you gel with it. It's super fun once you get into it and I'm excited to see what else R+ has in store myself.
