Akuma being overpowered (and eventually nerfed) is a Street Fighter tradition at this point.

I see a lot of people amazed Akuma wasn’t a launch character, but he’s only ever been a launch character in 1 mainline entry. I think Capcom saves Akuma’s release as a hype builder later into the games loge

Akuma ain't over powered. He is already nerfed. He's not allowed to eat his rice balls that give him that punch from the heavens that takes 2 thirds of your opponent's energy away, although I wish Capcom made that standard.

People tend to forget, yes, Akuma is strong, that’s sort of his thing, but he’s also got the lowest health pool. Play smart, play calm, and you’ll do just fine against the raging demon glass cannon.

btw not really good point on champ because u play on low ranks. Akuma is very powerful at all ranks, but heve some struggles on master/legend rank because his pokes isn't that good. He have good speed, but don't have really long pokes like Ken 2MK, or Chun 2MK. Also he have the lowest hp in the game, and really risky moves like Demon Flip that easy to counter. (low ranks is all lower than Master because rank system in SF6 is broken)

Dude I hate this trend of how we have street fighter characters that have the same moves like homie why does Akuma have the pretty much the same move set as ryu and Ken

thing i hate is that a lot of akuma's tools are pretty reactable and beatable when you hit diamond+. not saying hes bad or anything but mainly his tools are generally skill checks for lower ranks.
