Gosh! What a blessing this is! I've seen this idea nowhere else, and it saved my Nespresso machine. Many thanks! I hope people will "like" and comment so this will reach more people. (PS: I used a dozen q-tips so far, and it was only JUST clean enough to work. I'll do it every time I use the machine!)
👏👏👏Resolved on my Chrome Breville Nespresso Vertuo. Orange doesn't exist on this model but blinking twice was happening. After your RU-vid post I gleaned the information about the pod barcode laser optical sensor. Knowledge is power! I also use metallic permanent pods for the coffee beans I purchase. Thanks👍
My issue is it isn’t dispensing enough coffee, and water flow is very slow. Nothing appears to be backed up or clogged with the machine .I have no clue what is wrong with it . I also have had it for a year and never gotten a message or different colored light.

Nespresso told me to clean the machine with water...4 to 5 times. That first pod worked and after that again failure. It seems that the barcode reader is damaged. The app itself works on my iPhone 👍
Is it a Nespresso Vertuo? Have you tried unplugging then plugging back in? Sometimes it will blink yellow when put a pod in and have to wait for it to turn solid yellow or green color then press to make
