I’m going to share my experience. After my machine was stuck in descaling mode, I did what you showed here. No luck for me. However after calling customer service, she told me the only way to get out of descaling mode properly is to #1 go through the descaling process like it says, and after that has ended, pick up your water reservoir, (This turns the machine into rinse mode) and take it to the sink to fill it. After filling it up all the way, put it back on the machine and click the flashing orange light again. The machine will start and water will flow and pause for a second and start again. This will keep happening until the machine has decided it’s clean and the light will turn to white and flash a few times before turning solid white again. Descaling complete.
Hi all, I have just suffered thru a day of flashing orange light. After descaling, my machine stayed in descaling mode no matter what I tried. Called customer service, watched many videos and then came upon this video. I used two descaling pouches and let the second sit in the machine for 5 minutes (push the button to stop the cycle and push again to restart). After the descaling, I REMOVED the water reservoir (like Meagan mentioned, this puts your machine in rinse mode. It took me about 8 reservoirs to "rinse" the machine. After the fifth reservoir, I could hear the sound changing, it was spinning faster and I was smiling. Three more reservoirs and I finally got my white light. Rushed to make a double espresso. Got my machine back, the moral of the story, don't wait for your machine or app to tell you it's time to descale. I waited 14 months, your mileage may vary.
Gracias!!! Llevo varias semanas intentando de todo y no lograba deshacerme de la Luz naranja!!! Te agradezco mucho finalmente lo logré Garfias a tu video. Thanks you really help me, im from Mexico and i was very desesperate with the Orange light, finally it disappear
I solved my Nespresso problem. So easy and 100 percent effective. Unplug and toss in the trash. No more problems. Take note numb nuts at Nespresso all this trouble for the sake of the cost of an additional button just for descaling and properly documenting the procedure, The video on the Nespresso website is STILL wrong despite numerous comments.
Thank you so much!!!! The orange light did not stop....realised the cleaning wasn't done yet...added water...stopped on its own, then i continues with your steps. Fantastic!!! spent all afternoon on this thing! Your are so great to help us rookies. I always hated the colour orange! I know its a while since you posted...but hey it helped me today. Cheers and many thanks again:)
IT WORKED! Thank you for this video. I had to continually add water to the water tank, probably filled it 3-4 times. Eventually machine stopped and the orange light went away. I unplugged the machine for a minute, plugged it back in, and enjoying my fresh cup of Mexico pod right now!! 👍🏼☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️
THANK YOU! I don't use the machine or drink coffee, but my wife was frustrated that she couldn't find a working phone number (website is missing a digit) and couldn't find a fix. I found your video and instructed her on your method it fixed it!
You kind sir, thank you so much we are a bunch of students living in Belgium during exam season and we did not have coffee but you saved us! We appreciate you so much!- Mira and Greeshma and Fernanda and Pedro
Had to refill mine about 15 times, but eventually it did exactly what you said! Thank you so much, been having issues for a week now and couldn’t figure out how to get it out of the cleaning process.
I never would have known that was the problem. I was getting ready to ship it back to the company. I did what you said and its functioning again. Thank you!
This worked for me!! I had been following suggestions from several youtubes which were helpful but didn't solve my specific issue. Thankfully, I now have a clean and operable machine.
Thank you so much it worked for me. I did almost give up running the water through as it took about 40 minutes and I started to doubt if it was working but it did and I’m so glad I persevered. Thank you for the solution.
Dude, thank you!! I think this was my problem. My water tank was full, but apparently not full enough. Needs to be nearly right at the top. Thank you!!
Muchas gracias!! Era exactamente mi problema y no podía resolverlo. Lo pude resolver al ver ti video. Increíble que no le pongan un boto extra para limpieza y descalsificación. Thank you men.
What happened with mine is I looked up about 100 videos of trying to fix my machine. I had no luck for months. I was about to give up and throw it away. I went through the descale mode like In this video and I kept adding water and each time it stopped I would do it for more rounds. The descale more time eventually got shorter and shorter. Even after hours upon hours I had no luck whatsoever. I decided to put a coffee pod in and all of a sudden it worked and I haven’t had an issue since. So, keep descaling even if it takes hours and hours and even a few weeks worth because that’s what I had to do and it worked.
This video lead us to understand that descaling isn’t done when the water runs out but when the machine decides it’s done lol We kept refilling the reservoir and finally after four refills and drains it gave us the solid white light.
Did the steps the guy in the video did all the way to 1:40 ( Timestamp ) but I let the water reservoir run out of water during descaling. I picked up the reservoir, refilled it with water and put it back on and hit the blinking button once. It began rinsing mode. Sounded like a car revving up and revving down. I also heard water sloshing around inside. It was also spewing water out and stopping a lot. After a little while, it fully stopped and I got the white light. Enjoying coffee now. This company is ran by Lucifer.
Another random tip if people have the problem of the machine overheating during this process - It went into overheating mode once for me and I didn’t feel like dragging out the process so I put an ice pack over the top of the machine head once I got it going again and it proceeded to continuously run for forever until it was done. Yay 🎉 Does everyone else have a love hate relationship with their Nespresso for these complicated issues? Seriously. Makes me want to chuck it out the window 😑
FFS!!! Finally !!! on the nespresso tutorial they do not tell you that you will need to have 5 liters of water handy to complete the descaling process ---- wow thanks
Can I continue the rinse part of the descaling process from when I stopped and keep adding water... or do I have to start the descaling process all over again?
Thx I’m struggling with it too Ridiculous that you can unplug the machine snd it won’t default back to white I’m in my 7th pan being filled and still blinking orange I will continue to add water and Chan’s pans as you suggested Still blinks orange no matter that machine was turned off This is the reason I hate to descale
hey, i filled the coffee machine with 10 liters of water, i did not let the water run out, it stopped and flashed orange, i let it rest for 15 minutes and wanted to start cleaning again, but it does not start and keeps flashing. I do not know what to do, I have no way to call technical support.
Can you please help me out? My machine is stuck in the cleaning mode and won't stop blinking orange. I have clean the machine over 10 times already. I am so frustrated.
While trying to help my wife figure this out I told her it has to be still in the descaling mode found your video. We basically just did the descaling mode again and it used half of the water and it finished and went to white. So not sure what failed to happen the first time.
The way to fix this is to call customer support (they’ll make you do all cleaning and descaling) and ask for a replacement of a different model, ask for the Roundhead.
i tried everything, cleaned everything. double yellow blips, no water coming out. so, try cleaning holes in the middle of rotator, with a tooth-pick, push as so far u can go.. and try then.
I tried doing this process, and it started to blink orange twice before going back to white. I’m not sure why it’s not brewing coffee! I followed the steps and even did the self-cleaning! I wish I saw these videos before getting one of these machines! Lol
This is only for the discaling process. If this doesn't help I would recommend customer support. While it takes a while and can get annoying they do provide help
Can anyone help me? I keep adding water and after a few refills the descaling process stops but only because the machine is overheated… I will get an orange blinking light that blinks less frequently. 😢
Hey guys !!! Can someone please help me???? I have my vertuo next machine that keeps having a orange blinking light. There is no way that water comes out and cleaning process starts. Is there anyone who can help me with it? I have called the nespresso customer service here in Spain but they are not able to solve my problem!
Nothing has worked for me. I have 2 and neither one works. #2 Blinking light. No water flow. Descaled #1. Can't get #2 to get to the descaling cycle. Restarting the descaling mode on #1 because it would not brew after the first descaling. miffed.
