I ‘bout gave up on my gift nespresso. It pumped out 2-3 cups no matter what. The manuals and online advice was worthless… too many models, but none for my model. YOUR ADVICE FIXED MY MACHINE!! Thank you!! (Seriously, Thank You!)
Dear sir, ALL heroes do not wear CAPES!!!!!!!!!! I have had this Nespresso for 2 months and just tried to make coffee--NOTHING-- until YOUR ADVICE. I was about to have meltdown...$279 and brand new....ready to call American consul in Italy lol.....THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Summary of instructions: - Hold lip until green light turns off - Hold button and lever down for 5 seconds until solid orange light - Press lever down 3 times until it flashes orange - While it’s flashing orange, press button once (Orange light will blink 3 times then solid green will appear)
That’s for your video I’ve had a loan machine from nesspresso and it wasn’t working after two days I found your video and now it’s working thank you 👏👏👏😀🏴
OH MY GOD - this really does work. My machine has been back to Nespresso twice and was still dispensing about 250ml on any pod that I put in it. Now fixed!!!
Omg... I've been cleaning and trying all the tricks out there to get mine to stop leaking coffee out of the back. Just did the reset...and IT WORKED 🥳🥳🥳 ! Thank you so much for this video ! 👍👍👍
I had a problem the other day, machine not working properly and giving red light warnings, this was eventually sorted by performing a cleaning cycle (as opposed to descaling) however the machine was then much noiser! looking online I was starting to think that I might have to replace a bearing inside, which I was up for! didn't look that tricky. Just tried this reset and it seems much quieter, not quite sure it's back to where it was but it seems fine. It would be interesting to have a list of issues that this reset has been known to sort. Thanks for posting this, it's been very useful.
Thanks for commenting, getting useful comments like this is a start to a list. I believe the reset sequence shown resets the software and that may put it back to factory collaboration.
Hi we would like to thank you for a brilliant video ,we were just about to bin our coffee machine saw you on u tube followed your instructions and hay presto it worked again ,Your a star thank you Martin and Barbara 😃😃
THX! After time wasting lever bending and toothbrush cleaning this was the solution that help. But I'm wondering why. And why Nespresso just offers a repair or buying a new one.
I’m happy this worked for you too. I honestly don’t know how a software reset fixes this. I went through the same thing you did. Mine is still working, but I have heard where other machines end up being replaced. Could be a combination of issues if that is the case.
@@Mr_Reset You’re right, after 2 cups the same problem occures tomorrow, when I use one of the 430 ml capsules. Will try the reset again, hope dies last 😊.
Im going to try this, my machine was in storage a few months has been working great last few cups until today I tried a double espresso capsule and it kept pouring and pouring until I unplugged it
Anyone know how to get it off the Half GREEN and Half RED steady light . I've try descaling cleaning multiple times and reset but it still gets stuck on Half GREEN and Half RED 🤦♂️
Update. Had to call support for a sequence of button pressing walkthrough. But in short it just needed more descaling.. like 3+ cycles of descaling powder and 5+ cycles of all water
@@jbischof71 same I've called multiple times & sent back twice for repair and I still randomly get the same half Green & half Red light so frustrating that I can't go a few days without it going into this mode again . Wish they would replace it instead of trying to fix it every time
@@thegreatest2ever well I haven’t had the same issue reoccur.. at least not yet. 🤞🏻.. have you tried repeatedly descaling it yourself? I would recommend just doing it 3 times, letting it cool and go into standby and repeat until it works
This could be in the middle of a descale. Sometimes you have to run it a few times. The last time I did mine I had to do it four times. Then it allowed me to exit the descale setting. I hope this helps
Mine does this weird thing when I pop in a fresh pod and close the lid it goes down, then the lid stops and flashes red as if something is obstructing it. But there is nothing there so I go back up and dowm with the lid and it works. This is happening all the time now. Today I got the newest Alto pods and they are so big my Brewville Vertuoplus won't even make em. I believe it's a sensor issue but can't find help.
Hi, The other Vertuo is slightly different. The instructions are below and I pasted the link to the Nespresso support page. 1. Open the head to eject the previous capsule 2. Close the head. Leave the lever in “UNLOCKED” position. 3. Push the button 5 times within 3 seconds. The button will blink slowly 5 times to confirm reset is done. 4. VertuoPlus: Turn the machine 'OFF' by pushing the lever down for 3 seconds. 5. To enter 'Factory Settings' mode, push the button and the lever down at the same time for 3 seconds. ORANGE steady light indicates entry into the Special Functions menu 6. Choose function by pressing the lever down 3 times for 'Reset the Factory Settings'. Please note the machine will blink 3 times every 2 seconds until the button is pressed. NOTE: Choose a function within 2 minutes or machine will go back to READY mode. 7. Push the button to confirm. ORANGE light will blink 3 times in 3 seconds to confirm reset is done and then go to steady GREEN. The machine is now ready to use. NOTE: It is possible to exit the Special Functions menu at any time by pushing the button down and pressing the lever at the same time for 3 seconds. www.nespresso.com/ie/en/machine-assistance?s=anonymous#!/Vertuoline/instructions/reset-to-factory/guide
Unfortunately in my machine it did not work, I started the descaling but it never finished my first try was with one tank full, the second also and the third , on the fourth attempt i kept pouring water to see when would it stop and it didn´t stop, not even after filling the tank 4 times
If you keep pouring water into the tank it will continue. You need it to run empty for it to stop. If you haven’t descaled for a while it can take several goes of descaling. Please remember to use the descale fluid each time. Frustrating I know, I’ve also experienced this with my machine and I always use filtered water.
I followed these instructions, and at the end mine goes to the red and yellow light. Which is my original problem, that it is telling me I need to do the descaling . I’ve already fully gone through the descaling process. So, my red and yellow light sticks.
I’ve recently had this issue. The issue on my machine was it needed to rinse more. I filled up the water reservoir again and let it completely empty and stop. I then exited the settings and it was ok. I do find the descaling of these machines to be temperamental and just remember to allow the water to completely finish, don’t top it up. Depending on how often you descale your machine it may take a few goes to clear the Amber and red light.
I also find the descaling process to be very temperamental. It's almost as though you have to sit there and watch it and make sure that you switch over to the rinse cycle almost immediately and allow it to complete itself. Almost every time I descale I walk away and have to do it twice. Stupid machine. I love it though.
Beats me, I was in need to reset mine as it was leaking, hence the paper towel underneath and found out how and thought I’d share it. Bring back the turn it off and on again 😊
there's something wrong with mine it didn't worked ,although it says time to descale and I did 2 times but half red half green still On .Need to look for something else
@@mmarquez4121 depending on the red status (flashing, still) it could be a number of things. www.nespresso.com/uk/en/machine-assistance#!/VertuoPlus/troubleshooting this page lists all the statuses. Scroll down the page until you see the red light statuses. You may need to turn the machine off for 15 minutes and try again.
Mine won’t even reset when I hold the lever down it turns off but when I push the button and the lever at the same time waiting for the orange ring it never happens
It is always worth a try. It has fixed a lot of issues, but like you say it may not fix all issues. Thanks for viewing either way and leaving a comment.
Hi, This could be an issue with the machine. Nespresso recommend the following Turn the machine OFF, unplug the power cord, wait for 15 minutes for the machine to cool down. Plug the power cord and turn the machine ON by pressing the lever down. Machine is heating up and will go to steady GREEN when ready. If problem persists, call Nespresso
Mine just consistently blinks orange. Will run water through it, but won’t make coffee. Happened after my first descale. I’ve reset it, unplugged it, run a cleaning cycle. Just blink blink blink blink. The speed never slows, no gaps between blinks. Brand new machine. Calling the help line was useless. Tf
My machine will not reset... has anyone else had this problem? We complete the first step fine. The second step of holding both the button on the top and the lever..... It doesn't do anything- no lights appear. At the moment, regardless of what size capsule you put in it runs until the water tank is empty. I'm wondering if its stuck in a cleaning mode. Can anyone help???
@@jmordars It ended up going back to the factory. The button had got stuck so wasn’t recognising when being pressed. Got send back within 4 days, and had a temp replacement. All in working order now!
The only thing I’ve known to fix this is to turn it off completely for 30mins. If that doesn’t work it’s likely to be a fault with the machine and you will need to call Nespresso.
I’m sorry to hear this didn’t resolve the issues you are having with your machine. I have seen some people have also fixed theirs from leaking coffee by bending the metal bars that hold the capsules down or cleaning the rubber seal. I hope you gets yours fixed!
In some cases this has happened. If you are in a hard water area you may need to descale a few times. Getting stuck hasn’t happened to me, but I just read somewhere if you hold the button down for 30 seconds it will clear this.
Anyone know how to get it off the Half GREEN and Half RED steady light . I've try descaling cleaning multiple times and reset but it still gets stuck on Half GREEN and Half RED 🤦♂️
Hi, I found this link www.nespresso.com/fi/en/kahvikone/huolto#!/VertuoPlus/instructions/Descaling/guide It has the step by steps on descaling which you may be familiar with. I did note the last point (step 21) that if the machine is fully scaled you may need to leave the descaling solution in for longer to let it work it’s magic.
