Ok, time for me to get off my tail and finish mine. Parts are cut just have to break out the router table. There is always yard work. Time to finish this!
Beautiful job! My template from Jay will be here today. Did you use any wood glue? If not how well did it hold up with just screws? Thanks again for video!
Gracias.
What are your thoughts on using cedar? That would be an awesome wood if it was strong enough. I got the same template from Jay and build one out of pine, but would like to knock a couple out using cedar or redwood.
I am with you on that. Plan is to build 2 for the wife and I this summer with cedar. I would almost think they hold up as good/better than pine. Make them light weight and I'm sure still structurally sound.
I also purchased these templates. Haven't made a chair yet, but your video has motivated me to get going on it. One question: What is the pattern bit that you used? I'll need to get one for my build. Subed to your channel.
Happy I could help, thank you! I used a flush trim bit, started with a standard 3 knife one but quickly upgrade to a spiral up cut bit. Less kick back and better cut quality.
