O vídeo não mostrou algumas porradas que os jogadores brasileiros receberam durante a partida, além de uma cotovelada na cara do Rivellino quando dribla um holandês o juiz nem amarelo deu. Incrível também o pênalti não marcado dentro da área em Jairzinho, o zagueiro chega atrasado e acerta ele em cheio.
Além disso o primeiro gol da Holanda foi cágado e o segundo gol do Crush ( como dizia Zagallo em alusão à marca de refrigerante de sucesso na época) em completo impedimento.O empate desse jogo seria mais justo e jamais o Brasil merecia vencer .

pra quem não viveu a época, fica claro vendo o vídeo como o Rivelino jogava o fino da bola. E o Jairzinho em 1974 já não era mais o que foi em 1970. Cruijff enxergava o campo de cima e Neeskens era um baita atacante.

Acho que em clube mudou realmente..as cifras de hoje são astronômicas...jogador de time grande de fato não tem nenhuma identificação com os clubes. Tanto faz perder ou ganhar alguns não estão nem aí.

Jairzinho and Revilino weren't the players they were 4 yrs previous, 78 Argentina That whole tournament was rigged, Zico's goal against Sweden i think? was robbed as soon as the Brazilian player hit the ball from the corner the ref blew ,he said the corner kick would be the last kick so as soon as he kicked the ref blew the whistle ,tho he was probably told to. It was Revilino's last and Zico was up and coming, by 1982 they had arguably their best team since 1970 but when the game was 2-2 they should have parked a bus, Rossi was superb . 1986 they had a good team and 90 then finally 94 they won their 4.Th WC but took 24 yrs .2002 5.Th . I felt sorry for the Dutch they are a great side and I hope they win the WC some day. the 74 team were masters .
@@luckyduck6710 yes Brazil were a much better team in 78 and were robbed in those finals. How Argentina have been allowed to keep that trophy after Peru admitted taking bribes is one of the great mysteries i think. In 82 they were even better but too cavalier. They only needed a draw but only knew how to attack thats why football fans love them. In 94 i think they were fortunate - the final was pretty dire but there was so much pressure. Also the game had caught up with them their old style was too well known. They won in 2002 yes but football has changed in Brazil - the playmakers and stylists have been bred out of the game to keep up with the european teams but the fans hate that. They are pretty average these days and who could forget Germany 7-1 in Brazil. A day of shame for them! The dutch were similar in that they were also capable of only one style of play. They learned a painful lesson in Germany 74 but as you say Argentina was a circus.
@@Seansaighdeoir It's unreal that WC of 1978 .They say the Argentine' players lives were at risk ,but i remember the game vs Peru and In the opening min Peru had a chance when they beat the Argentine defense and the Peru player had only the keeper to beat but fired it over or didn't kick hard enough, The Zico goal was pure robbery the ref was English and is seen talking to the Swedish keeper it was later revealed that he said the corner kick would be the final kick of the game so as soon as the Brazilian kicked the ball the ref Clive Thomas blew Zico scored and thought the whistle was to signal it was a goal but he ended the game as soon as the kick was taken it was robbery.but having said that the Ref was probably threatened by the Argentine Junta that he'd be charged with something or was bribed but he never reffed a game again in a WC. Brazil I agree were not half as good as the previous WC 1970. Revilino Jairzinho weren't the players they were in 1970 I think but not sure Tostao was also playing but not the same, Only Zico was up and coming He was my Idol In 1982 totally different Brazil .Zico, Socrates ,Falcao. Eu tinha uma ideia totalmente diferente deste jogo, antes de assistir a esse vídeo. Achava que a seleção brasileira, então em renovação, tivesse sido amassada pelo poderosíssimo carrossel holandês, mas, claro está, não foi o que aconteceu. O Brasil perdeu inúmeras oportunidades de gol, poderia mesmo ter aberto o placar, tanto com o PC Caju quanto com o Jairzinho.

Mas é evidente a organização em campo da Holanda , time muito compactado , também não acho que Brasil foi amassado , mas a Holanda mereceu a vitória , jogou melhor tanto na marcação de meio , sob pressão , quanto no ataque com esses passes .foi um pecado a bola do Jairzinho não entrar no primeiro tempo.

Lo que mucha gente no sabe es que Holanda con un empate estaba en la final. Pero en lugar de salir a buscar ese empate, como harían hoy muchos equipos, salió a ganar desde el primer momento sin importarles que enfrente tenían a los vigentes campeones del mundo (tricampeones en ese momento).

O goleiro Leão falhou feio no primeiro gol da Holanda, Leão estava por volta de dois mètros adiantado ,por isso tomou o gol por cobertura. A seleção brasileira era ótima,mais o nervosismo tomou conta da seleção,principalmente no segundo tempo e mais ainda depois do primeiro gol da Holanda. Ėra uma ótima seleção brasileira mais os Holandeses foram melhores.
Was 14 when I saw this world cup game on tv with my dad. Although Scotland were my country Holland became my "second team" because of the silky, fluid football they played.

I think this team, Cruyff, Neeskens, Johnny Rep, Rudy Kroll, the Van Der Kirkoff brothers ,Ari Haan, were among the few greatest teams never to win the world cup ,I actually remember them from the 78 WC ,I was 8 when they played in 74 but the 78 team was the same ,only Cryuff didn't go and I read he refused as a protest and he was threatened but don't know how true it is.

No soy un conocedor de tácticas, pero Holanda jugó contra equipos menores como lo era la propia Argentina de ese mundial. A Brasil, en semifinales, le ganó dos a cero pero no la pasó bien. Y con Alemania en la final, ganando uno a cero desde el minuto uno, tampoco le fue bien. No fue aplanadora cuando debía. En las instancias donde los grandes se hacen grandes dejó de ser la mecánica. Ya Brasil y Alemania lo conocieron, descubrieron sus debilidades y le plantearon la táctica que los dejó sin mecánica. El segundo tiempo de la final no fue una máquina. Para serem duas das melhores seleções dos anos 70, dá a impressão que o futebol evolui muito desde então: hoje é mais rápido, mais atlético e mais direto e menos atabalhoado. No ano 2020, este jogo seria entre equipas menores. Sí que concedo que a lo mejor había más espiritu de equipo y solidariedad entre los jugadores (de un mismo equipo), jugaban más para el colectivo.
5:11 O primeiro gol da Holanda, reparei que o Leão faz o giro do corpo contrário em relação a bola que veio no alto e para o lado direito. Deveria ter pulando com a mão trocada e girar o corpo para direita na mesma direção em que a bola entrou. Conclusão, ele já tomou vários gols assim de cobertura devida a posição errada para pular e alcançar a bola com a mão errada.

Nos primeiros 20 minutos desta partida, o Brasil superou os holandeses e poderia ter entrado ao intervalo por 2-0, tendo perdido várias boas oportunidades.

Agreed, though as a dutch i have to say we weren't that civil either. You can see the diving and bad sportmanship on display even in this video, even though it's just the highlights and not the whole match. It's very much like the game nowadays though, no nation is to be acused of such behaviour as endemic, but neither is it exempt from it either. Football is the greatest unifying gift to the world in my opinion when it comes to nations understanding and respecting one another, because we're all the same when we root for our nationality on a rather innocent basis such as football
This game should have been the 1974 final. Holland was epic in this game. They played their total-football even though the Brazilians played hard style to injure. Jairzinho was nowhere to be found. Brazil played with 10 players.

Robinson spoke very well spanish, people here found amusing his strong accent at the beginning, because he never lose it, but he spoke very properly and he was an extraordinary communicator and journalist. I'm glad you brought him up because he was phenomenal. The guy here, I don't know, I'm not discussing his knowledge about football but his level of spanish wasn't as good to comment games. I have no idea who hired him or why.

Netherlands 74 is so much better than Brazil 74, it is obvious. This defeat doesn't hurt us, the match that hurt us a lot is Brazil x Italy in 1982. They lose the final? who cares, everybody knows that team and how they changed the game. Back then it was like saying 'brazilians are no longer relevant in football, the future is this'... it was painful and as I recall, still is. For no reason at all. But many brazilians are arrogant pricks regarding football. They are, it's like the english when they lose to the hungarians in the 50s.
