Netta represented Israel at the Grand Final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Toy. Read more about Netta here: eurovision.tv/participant/net...
The way she manages to incorpiratw all these sounds, the traditional arabic/middle eastern, the modern, the chicken... everything was just genius and masterful!
@@Heyimcookie the zaghareet/ululation is not really language, and the sounds used in this song are both middle eastern influence and modern, so you are right, but I l meant the sounds^^
Really? You feel sorry for them? Literally the meaning of the festival got lost, not even sure what's the point anymore. Perfect example right here, we have an Israeli singer, singing English, with a Japanese style background!
i was super annoyed when this won, but listening back i feel like this song really represents eurovision well. it’s unique and has aspects that represent her country. some of the other songs just sound like every other song on the radio
@@takispapas9887don't get me wrong it was a great song and the singer was on fire, but at the end of day when you're really thinking about it, toy was much more unique and netta vocals are definitely better and Cyprus had kinda cliche summer song, sure it's a great song but if you look at both of the performances you can tell which one is a hit and which one is a hit who deserves to win Eurovision, Netta is just the kind of people that you look at her and can see she was meant to be on that stage
sorry but i disagree.. for you toy was unique from a country like israel which could have done MUCH better. On the other hand you have a tiny island that hardly was participating in eurovision and until 2017 was always at last 10.. until this year i couldn't remember her name or her song (talking about israel) i only knew that israel won and until today other countries still play fuego. Too many people said it was a pure robbery
@@robertsouza1929 eurovision used to be a singing competition amongst all european countries. Like who s the best in europe. Nowadays is just a joke, ireland literally sends the worst singers so they wont have to organise the competition (the winner country will organise the competition for the next year)
I think this song has it all: cool introduction with the loop, interesting rhythms, it's funny, lyrics are meaningful, Middle Eastern influences...I love it!
no matter anythig whta some People say about this perfomance, the artists, back up dancers or the song! the reallity is that the talento around the World is incredible ! this artist need bemore reconize! this is my POV! Btw, love this song! ❤
Fun fact: Eurovision is the contest that Celine Dion joined in 1988, in which she represented Switzerland. She won. This show basically is the one that started her career.
A big concert for only Europeans that ancestors didn't abandon their country and Australians with weird, funny, cool and good songs. It is about equality and giving every country a chance to win every year while having fun and entertaining the crowed. And the winners country is having the honor of having the EVSC kn their country next year.
Funny how people reacted negatively when they heard this song.I was one of them and I thought what the f***. I changed my mind as I listened to it over and over again.
I literally typed “Eurovision chicken” to find this Edit: Stop saying I’m American! I am European and I just could not remember the songs name so I write “Eurovision Chicken”
@@Michael-sp8py whats your job bro i think you are an homeless or like that bcs the only think you do is to writing comments find a job bro life is short
How to win Eurovision step 1: be a SJW or a strong defendent of the women's right step 2: make a song segregating men step 3: camouflaging these radical lyrics by making chicken noises
Bro, everyone's like "listen to the lyrics" Ok , ok...I really like the messag, but the chicken noises, other weird noises and parts like what you quoted..? You can't tell me Bulgaria's soul touching entry was worse AND Israel isn't even in Europe (but their money for Eurovision now is *cough*)
