One of the things that you learn by taking in new experiences and learning from the world around you is that keeping it fresh is paramount in making life worthwhile. There are some periods in life that are frankly filled with filled with crap that we hike up our trousers and wade through tough stuff. What I've seen in this short update is that continued work with video, maintaining your reach out to people, and staying close to family is keeping you moving forward from day to day. It doesn't matter if these are merely update vlogs or if you're getting more creative. You aren't sitting still. What have I learned today? One of the truest things in life is that nature abhors a vacuum. Yes, those are some fancy words, but what does that really mean? It comes down to this... if something is taken out of your life, that empty space needs to be filled with something. You said that vlogging and exercise are filling a void that could possible have been filled with sitting on your rear end and only existing with no purpose... no drive... no feeling...I think you get the picture. Yes, cancer has changed your existence for the time being, but by being creative, pushing yourself, and sharing with others... you create meaning... which also builds a desire to do even more. Hmmmm... now that seems like a pretty good way of walking through life day by day. The other thing I see is that you are educating people who are or who may be in your situation in the future. Imagine that someone who has just received a diagnosis has clicked on one of your videos for the first time. They see an energetic young man who speaks frankly and honestly about what he's going through. They learn about what to expect about medication and how someone might feel as the medicine/poison cycles through their bodies. Teaching, whether it is in the classroom, in a park, or in your living room can be one of the most rewarding actions a man or woman can participate in. Sometimes, I learn more about who I am when I take the time to teach something new. So, take it from this teacher... you're teaching some valuable lessons to people out there. And keeping it fresh is what it's all about. So much so... that we... the members of Casa O'Brien got a wild hair up our rear ends and jumped on a plane and flew from desert sands to the frozen tundra of Minnesota to surprise family and friends for two weeks. So, I'm not watching and writing with morning cup of coffee. I'm about ready for bed and trying to kill some serious jet lag. On that note... I'm happy to see you walking through this and educating people along the way. I can't tell you what kind of pig or animal that fits you, but just go out to an animal rescue and be a hero to one of those little guys who really needs a hero. Keep on keepin' on.
