From personal experience after being with the same woman for 40 plus years and she decides to go is hard to take especially when the finances were affected badly for our retirement but she could not be told, she has health probs at 64 is still working but she hates it, I told her recently that she did not think it through, we are getting older not younger, one of her health probs is depression and won't get treatment unfortunately, now I have no house and renting again after owning the house we both worked hard to pay for, back where I started, I am 67yrs old, too late to start again.

I was in the same situation. I didn't try to get her back though, I wished her well and blocked her the next day. That was around 4 years ago. Don't waste time, cut it and move forward. You'll never regret it.

I travelled from the uk to Canada to meet an ex of mine, I was deluded enough to think she would still feel something for me.
