I was a rebound. While we definitely had a meaningful and loving relationship, after awhile she realized that she wasn't over her ex. He broke her heart and it left her in a place unfit for being in a relationship. I definitely had my flaws while dating her, but I think the main reason for our breakup is that she really does need to be single and learn to be independent. She broke up with me and it was the most painful thing I've experienced, but I'm realizing that I shouldn't be so hung up on someone who can't commit to me.
Same thing happened to me. Her baby daddy mentally abused her and we were in a relationship for almost 2 years and she said that she hadn't gotten completely over the situation and really needs to learn to make her self happy before having a relationship. Funny you ask actually ... about a month goes by and I actually started messing with another and my birthday came up and she texted me at 1 AM on my birthday and I tried to keep that conversation short and every message I sent short as I could, she somewhat dragged the conversation out, and I could tell that got to her when I was doing that.. That was about a month ago, she’s called me the last two weeks talking about something she wants to tell me because it’s been upsetting her but she kinda keeps putting it off. I do not chase her at all, I don’t beg her to tell me shit. I keep that “you wanna tell me go ahead but if not you probably never gonna hear from me again” attitude and we will be on the phone for a few minutes and she say “it feels like you don’t care anymore”, she is literally craving validation from me and that keeps her chasing.

Have a pretty odd situation on my hands, we went no contact after she dumped me for almost a year. Few weeks ago she added me on instagram and we talked the next day and agreed to a meet up for the following week which she sounded thrilled about. A few days later I messaged her to ask if she was free on saturday instead of the Friday like we initially planned but if that would work for her. She then said this weekend would be tough and said we should reschedule and that she would keep me posted. It's been a little over a week since she said that and still havent heard from her.
