Trying to cross the line will free you from your target obsession and give you a better path of the club.
Online lesson are now a possibility on Skillest: skillest.com/app/profile/marc...
Let me help you get an effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. I call it the circle of speed. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook. How to swing a golf club need to be adjusted to your skill level and experience.
Long and straight is the goal for everyone but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill. We focus too much on rotation but no good golf shot will be executed just by rotating.
I’m naturally right handed but all my tips works for both left handed and right handed golfers.
We also need to understand that many myths in golf are misleading. Everything that you find on the internet isn’t true. Ben Hogan, Sam Snead are two of the legends that are often misunderstood.
We shall not keep our head still, only start with the hips, look only at the ball or keep the left or right arm straight.
If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can always get better.
Find what inspires you. Golf basics are the same for everyone. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV. Be careful when you watch a golf swing in slow motion. The result isn't always what the golfer is trying to do. Feel and real are seldom the same.
Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway, Pete Cowen and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.
Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.
Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots. Linn Grant, Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg can show you the future of golf.
The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.

Thanks again for all your content. You are so right getting the brain to understand what your body has to do is so vital! I've been following for a while and can now hit draws consistently. If I go back to fades or slice one I know already how to correct it. Keep the content coming, I'm a big fan because you cut through the BS and get to the important things. Take care and be well!

Marcus, 72 YO long time golfer recovering from two lumbar spine fusions and bi-lateral hip replacements. Tried best I could to replicate your circle of speed and had shockingly positive results. Ball compression on short to mid irons was best for me since I had to quit 10 years ago! I probably missed it but could u please do a show on ball position? I learned golf by reading Hogan’s masterpiece written 70 years ago. He basically used one position for everything but driver and moved trail leg farther apart and more closed as length of club increased. Appreciate your knowledge and your direct way of teaching and sense of humor. If I can continue to strike with efficiency u have a convert for the rest of my active life! I can assure u that the other old men in my large scramble wonder what has got into me!😂

Hi. Great job with your golf swing. I did a series on ball position and it's not like Hogan. He wanted to hit a fade I teach a draw. Watch this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uUew2957d5A.htmlsi=BzFAh2bxaBoW1B35

Great stuff I love how you have made me get an image in my mind on the proper way to hit a golf ball The circle of speed and the club going backwards It really has gave a new perspective after 30 years of golf 😂 all I do now is club face points to the ball (on it arc) club drops behind me and down (as hard as I want) and up and out on the finish Weather is cold here in West Virginia but I’ve managed to hit a few and it crazy how good with draw I’m so glad I found you and you just keep it simple and visual

When I first started learning this game I took lessons from several instructors Not one of them taught me to perform what you’re demonstrating here and I struggled so much I quit the game of golf When JH came up with the Channel Lock swing I then learned how to hit a draw and hit more consistent shots because of his teaching to swing inside out Your teachings on this channel have some of his protocols and 1 of them is to swing inside out If more Tubers would follow your advice they will eliminate lots and lots of unnecessary mental pain trying to hit the ball with a consistent shot and with a draw Good teaching Marcus as always 👍⛳️👍

As always, great advice! It's truly a different feel to the swing. The hands travel away from the body through the ball and take a longer route around to the finish. Nice draw, longer distance. Must dos for me, don't hang back when swinging under the plane and I make sure I post up. If not, bad news.....

That's why we need to think differently between hitting up and down. 👍

My brain struggles to hit across the line and seems to default to down the line or even out to in. When I got through my proper intention with proper tempo the ball seems to find the sweet spot like a magnet. Love your work Marcus 🙏🏻

Hi Marcus. I may have figured something out to get an in to out path. I have been focusing on bringing my hands low and very close to me and move them in to out across the body. I don't know if it's right but it I can hit mild draws this way.

If it works, keep it. I think there are many different ways to get the club to strike the ball correctly. 👍

Hi, Marcus. I just had a fb video come up from Top speed Golf. It seems he's now endorsing and teaching the exact same thing you've been saying for all these years except for the pushing of the club.

Great video Marcus! Unfortunately, I am guilty of something similar. Instead of scooping with the lead wrist 'up and over the shoulder' as you say in other videos, my elbow chicken-wings just after impact, therefore the lead wrist cannot scoop. I assume what you say in this video might help. I notice that it is quite hard to keep my trail hand on the club when I DO achieve the lead hand scooping. Just commenting incase it inspires a video. I am playing decent amateur golf as 5 hcp but it is all short game. I wish I could fully extend and stop chicken winging! 😫

I think you need to practice and hit balls with only lead arm. When you hit a draw with only lead hand your home. Watch this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C6MXeOcCaes.htmlsi=bpyhrCtenxCzAeIm

What are you doing with your right elbow? Do you turn it more left so that it is perfect in line with the target? It is difficult to do this without gripping to strong with right hand (as a lefty). Bryson D. made a video and told to turn and keep the front elbow in line with the target. It’s difficult but together with your swing thought you get the draw or a straighter shot. It is his tipp to avoid hooks.
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 5 месяцев назад
I don't need to think like that. The extension of the lead wrist makes it impossible to hook it and you don't need a special grip. Watch this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wi3xyG-OQNQ.htmlsi=Js2lqxPq2oUxzUqh

I make a circle that start back from the top and continues down. I make it mostly by extending my trail arm. Watch this video for more info: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4xS7JpJHU8g.htmlsi=u8kx_px3w1szsiSL

where is your club face aiming at address direct down the line and the club comes from in to cross the line. I still have shots where it goes straight push right, ( Right hand'r)
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 5 месяцев назад
Always little open at address. Your set up will never hit any shot. If the club is to open at impact it's all about timing. It's a to late release.
