Wait a minute, stop for a second! This system cannot connect to flood sensors or Samsung Smart things which supports dozens of flood sensors. I feel they really missed the boat on this. Otherwise, I would buy one in a heartbeat. I want support for external water leak sensors, in addition to the FLO technology. That would be perfect. Until then, I am holding off.
Yes, you are right. I bought one and have headaches with false alerts and water turned off in the middle of a shower several times. I have Samsung Leak detectors too, but use them with my Hubitat. I want to control it with that, but they refuse to let me have access to my own product. The water use measurement is ok and the pressure measurement is good, but it needs to be controlled by a local hub with local leak detectors to be effective. It notifies you of high water use after 15 minutes and shuts off 5 minutes later. 20 minutes of running water can cause a LOT of damage. They also need a drain monitor to help the system determine if they water is going down the drain, which would indicate safe use. They wont answer my emails when I tried to advise them of this.
Saw this in PHC magazine ad. I am a Delta fixture plumber, but this is AMAZING. $400 for piece of mind. I am going to up-sell the sh!t out of these. Gotta be careful turning off the water if you have an electric tank water heater though (burn up the elements-if there's a leak) still AMAZING.
2nd comment, here. This video only has gotten 6 sales to date. 3:03 of a customers time. Also, Moen does make its own leak sensors that connect to the system. I now have one for my house.
