7:35 "To je vše můžeme udělat pro tebe nyní." means "That´s all we can do for you now." (and yes, it´s in czech) BUT it´s not written perfectly, it should be "To je vše co pro tebe teď můžeme udělat." (teď is same as nyní (they both mean now, nyní is just more formal))

For soms more context. While wikipedia scrolling about the batavian revolution a little while back I actually came across that battle again. According to the captured Dutch they were actually just ordered to surrender by higher ups. This makes sense to me because: A: If I understand correctly there was no actual fighting, just some talking between officers. B: The French already lied about their approach. C: The French were incentived to lie again as it made them look good. D: I am Dutch, which is why I will trust this one source without further research: Check it out yourself.

Well see, Yamamoto was one of the main advocates for the proliferation of aircraft carriers in the ijn, and by consequence the displacement of battleships as the capital ships, and Yamato was the lead ship in the largest class of battleship ever and by all this I'm just saying I have no idea besides it just sounds similar.

1:00 ooh that is such a sore point here in Denmark... most of the country was slated to be in the US part of the "occupation" of German conquered Europe... the only outlier was the island of Bornholm... which was still occupied by German soldiers that refused to surrender (to the Soviet) untill the 9th ( a whole 4 days longer than the rest of the country).

technically that meme is wrong as the anglo-saxons are the english, created england, and the romans were before them. also the groups that would eventually become the english were usually hired by the romans to help keep the celts in line. but on invasions ive realised that outside of the british isles the only group to invade england were the scandinavians.
