We do an equipment tour starting with my personal favorite skid steer, then plows, trucks, snow pushers, Then run the sledge loader, then dump trailers, lawn mowers, excavators, and end on my dump trucks.
Love the Christian fish story. I got saved a little over 15 years ago. Pryor I came from a hard nose up bringing, nothing to be ashamed of I just didn't know chirst. God is good all the time. Keep up the great work.
I bought an ASV50 (new--->yr 2020 ) in Aug 20. Shortly after that you featured that model in a video. You seemed to really like it. It made me feel like I made a good choice. Then it was gone. I have a bandsaw mill business and I use it to move the big saw logs around and onto he mill. It is unstoppable. Love it. SWWW
Your the man Stan..I really enjoy your videos. Your a hard working dude with values and you treat your employees with respect and your definitely not afraid to get your hands dirty.
I love watching different construction videos and listening to all the different terminology for pieces of equipment, like bobcat-skid steer, packer-sheep’s foot-plate compactor, wacker, it’s interesting
Cut my teeth on a Mack 2 stick and a Diamond T 5spd w/2spd rr end back in the early 70's. I'm 53 now. Some of my earliest memories are from the cabs of those trucks. Drove and operated equipment professionally for 30+ years. I have a Woodmizer now. This is called work, too, but I don't know why---- it makes me way too happy!! 😁
"How do you make a living in construction if equipment is so expensive". In my experience its because taken well care of they equipment last a long freaking time. A new skid can give you a solid 10 years. Even more if you beat it up. Love your videos.
Can you do a vid on your equipment history. As in your first excavator, second educator dozers etc., I’ve done it with my grandpa on his cars, and I find it very interesting.
Great video, reminded me of first dump truck I drove. Old Mac dual shifter High low reverse on one stick and the other gears 1-5. Makes you really appreciate a nice 13 or 18 speed fuller. Love that old Pete you got👌
I’m digging the 360 cam I really like the panning shots it takes at times they look pretty great. The slow mo “action shots” while panning with the 360 on the machinery are my favorite shots I’ve seen in your videos. Keep up the good work Stan.
Great video. Loved the text of it. Showing your start to finish equipment. Your thoughts about the equipment can help a person decide what type of equipment to purchase.Your showing of how to do thing with stone, and your crew make the diy aspect of it seem a little less intimateding. Keep the video's coming. Franky is really a trip!
Awesome video. Ive been reconsidering what piece of equipment to buy next for my new business. After listening to one of your podcasts, I think it does make more sense for me to rent certain machinery at this time. Have a great day!
Always cool seeing what other people find useful when thee work lines up with yours. I would’ve parked that freight shaker and ran the pete but that’s just me. I have a really close friend that his business is 3rd generation so walking around his yard seeing stuff his grandpa/ dad built to try and make their loves easier is amazing a lot of it would never be allowed on a job site today. Awesome video stay safe hope the snow keeps falling.
@@Dirtmonkey put it back on the road that thing is a sweet truck. Unless you want to sell it then let me know. Did you ever run tractor trailers? Seems like that’s a regional thing whether you run big Tri or quad axle or a 6wheeler or tractor trailer.
That was an awesome Video! I’m new to the channel and and slowing going through all the old videos! I do smaller excavation jobs down here in Iowa with just a skid and a shovel now but hoping to find a dump truck to build the business next! Thanks for the great information you provide!!
I don’t know why,.... but this was probably my favorite video you have ever done!, I don’t know why, but videos like this amaze me, especially when you throw in the prices of everything, absolutely eye opening thanks Stan
Visibility is number one. My least favorite piece of snow plow equipment is a truck plow. I love a tractor or loader , then a skid. Love your videos . I'm 80 miles from you. We dont always get what you get but close. keep up the great Videos.
Hi Stan I love your videos. Can we see a 1 year review on your Ram truck and your wife's Ford F-150 to see how they're holding up and what's the bad and good you like about them. Have a great day sir take care. 👍
after having 2 wheeled many different bobcats, I will say color me impressed to even get that on 2 wheels with the snow and lack of traction. Plus to have the load that high and spin it. Hats off to you sir. That alone gives you the right to the cowboy hat...lol
Like Stoney Ridge, I'm glad I live in North Carolina, but I love to hear about the old equipment. Especially the old Quadraplex Mack. I loved those old trucks once you mastered them. They were strong as an ox. Just wondering if you had a B model or an R model. Those Thermadyne engines were smooth and if you mastered that tranny you were one of the coolest drivers. Of course, I'm old school, I turn 70 next week and just recently sold my trucking business as a FedEx Ground contractor. (34 years). Love your channel, keep the snow. LOL
Stan, this video is awesome! Seeing the history of your companies equipment, and even better is just hearing the stories! Hearing those stories are bringing me back to stories from my recently deceased Uncles from the old family farm - I love it! oh - still awaiting email response from your Landscape pro email Thanks!!
I don't have that email any longer. use my other one listed but here it kind of is: energy 4 @ mac.com. Remove the spaces in it and take off the last period and thats my email.
Remember watching a video of yours that covered that roll over you mentioned, obviously that video might be hard to find but going forward, stuff that you mention In videos that you have other videos on, you might want to consider adding link to those in with the cards that pop up in the upper right corner, it’ll get you more watch time and people always appreciate not having to go searching for it. adding overlayed photos of things, like pieces of equipment you own that you mentioned in videos is always appreciated and pretty cool to see none the less. Video idea: a video with photos explaining getting your start, I’d think would be Super neat.
Hi Stan, Love the fish story...Does your new power rake have carbide teeth? Another useful and unpublished use is grinding ice in driveways. Does not hurt them (power rake) a bit. You do have to be careful if on asphalt or concrete. The carbide does not stop at the ice and will chew up the concrete or asphalt. Here in Alaska we do get thick ice and you can take it down to eliminate big ruts. Also can give a nice groomed look and after it refreezes the ice chips, it takes the slippery away kind of like the scarfing teeth on a grader. Love the channel and your testimony.
Great video! I would’ve loved to see the gate attendant at Menards trying to count everything in the trailer to “make sure you didn’t steal anything” 😂
when i was a kid i use to get these movies from the library called "here we go" and it was just heavy equipment doing what they do. so just watching you work is fun! not only am i enjoying watching but i am also learning! which is helping me out with getting a new garage built this spring/summer! depending on how long the snow lasts... lol didnt know that about the fish either... thanks for that!
@@richd.4073 i remember a backhoe digging in dirt and i think a grater or a dump truck dumping dirt. quality of video back then sucked but i remember really liking the look of rolling dirt.
I had a s185. Loved it too. I've operated a number of 185s, didn't like them all though. I am extremely happy with my T190 wide track, on occasion miss my T250 for its power.
Oh yes , the ol twin stick, I drove one ☝️ a ol 10 wheel water truck, I like the ol Peterbilt too, what year is that one, praise Jesus grace Christ Amen 🙏 BigAl California.
Stan, I was told a very similar story by an excavation crew. They were working on putting in a large parking lot and it was morning break and the guys were all sitting around and taking a break, when they saw a white pickup pull in and load up their bobcat. They all looked at each other and said WTH is the boss doing taking our bobcat. Later in the afternoon, the boss showed up and asked "where did you guys hide the bobcat?". They all laughed and said, "very funny, you came and picked it up this morning, we all saw you!". He looked at them and said "you all day and watched some guy steal our bobcat???". Got real quiet. Some people got a lot of balls and will grab equipment right in front of the crew.🤔😱😠
I agree with dump trucks being sketchy i was dump feed 3 years ago at the farm and tipped one on its side low and behold the lift cylinder cradle was littered with micro cracks and busted free from the frame and over she went heck of a ride
Loved seeing the equipment tour and showing us around them and explaining them. Keep up the outstanding work and thanks for the amazing content stay safe and take care
I think what appeals to people about equipment tours is first that you see it doesn't take the newest most fancy stuff be be successful, and second you learn what does and doesn't work if you happen to be looking for equipment of your own.
