Symptoms
In men, hair often begins to recede from the forehead.
Male-pattern baldness
Women tend to lose hair along the part.
Female-pattern baldness
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata) is sometimes preceded by itchy or painful scalp.
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata)
Repeated stress on the hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
Traction alopecia
t's becoming increasingly common for menopausal women to experience frontal fibrosing alopecia, in which the hairline moves back.
Frontal fibrosing alopecia
Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body.
Signs and symptoms of hair loss may include:
Gradual thinning on top of head. This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair. An increasingly common hair loss pattern in older women is a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia).
Circular or patchy bald spots. Some people lose hair in circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp, beard or eyebrows. Your skin may become itchy or painful before the hair falls out.
Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.
Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.
Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.
When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you or your child and want to pursue treatment. For women who are experiencing a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia), talk with your doctor about early treatment to avoid significant permanent baldness.
Also talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child's hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out.

Has anyone ever gotten dirty looks when you have told family or friends ? My cousins who are pretty masculine (and bald of course), but are a lot older than me gave me the stink eye when I told them I wear hair systems sometimes (I did not have it on at the time). For reference, they were born in the 1970's and toupees looked ridiculous back then, but now they are so well made and so realistic. I found it odd that my cousins who are bald as hell really disliked the idea of me wearing one a lot. I don't care to be honest. My stepdad gave an "you're an idiot" smirk when he found out and my mother was like "why would you add one more thing to worry about in your life ?". I don't care. I'm tired of feeling like shit every time I leave my house. I'm tired of wearing my huge baseball cap when I meet a cute girl. The thing is that you really have to not give a sh!t to be happy with hair systems (give enough of a sh!t to make sure it looks good everyday though, non-exposed hair is the best for maintenance). The positive looks I get from women when I have hair versus when I don't justifies it for me. They don't understand that it is depressing for me to be in my late 20's and being bald. I'm pretty charismatic and confident, but my hair (or lack thereof) really really bothers me greatly. Everyone can kiss my @$$ for all I care.

I got it done like 4 days ago and my family all supported me but man, i so understand what you mean by hating to go out of the house and wearing baseball cap. I effing hate caps and realized a system is way less trouble and stuffy than a hat or cap and just took the dive. I have been contemplating taking on a unit for 5 years and 4 days ago i just did it and love it so far. Still afraid of my first tape removal and all but will do it with professionals till i learn it and yes without hair and cap we a just invisible to women and worst is people try to rip you cap off to act all alpha! used to hate that at night clubs or parties or friends

We wear hair for ourselves. Keep this in mind. Sometimes your family of origin is not healthy, then we build a family of our choosing, who are healthy and supportive. Start building your family of choice and wear your hair.

Agreed. Anyone who attacks you for trying to improve yourself is a narcissist and quite toxic. Tough when it's family but best to put those people out of your life.

People criticize when you loose the hair. And also will criticize if you used a system anyway

To be fair, the guy whose dad said "don't be ridiculous" and then suggested it when he saw a good one may have been trying to honestly look out for his son. He may have thought of systems as bad wigs and didn't want his son to embarrass himself.

This is actually a good take. My mother was the same. She was saying "I just don't want you to add another worry to your life". She did make a good point to be honest. You're adding one more thing to worry about in your life, that's for sure.

@@snakesghost7817 everything in your life can be a "worry", if you take a car, if you go to school, if you work, if you start the gym, if you take a dog, if you get a GIRLFRIEND EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE SEX. life is a worry, it's this, so it can be, as it cannot be. i have it, and it solved me a lot of "worries" i was worry for my nasty bold head, but now? im happyer then ever

You know, it really is an eye-opener to realize how supportive my family would be, going for a hair system. I know they'd discuss it behind my back and make their jokes and humour then, but I know they'd be compassionate enough to be sensitive about it in person. Kinda puts it into perspective that I don't have a toxic relationship with them. Don't really have much to complain about anymore lmao

Thanks so much for your videos man, took the plunge like 4 days ago and love the system. I got something locally in India as i was visiting here. It cost me like 400 euros and i could pay it in 9 installments. It was a fino mono border and lace base *they said it could last for 1 year with tape only I took at short haircut and it looks insane, no one could tell i had a unit on and best part is colour and texture match was easy too as i am 1B to 2 so dark black and brown. First night sleeping in it was odd as glue of tape was still not there and now on day 4 i feel nothing and little hot if i am running around. I dont gym or do sweaty tasks and avoid sun and live in cold european country so i think my unit will go for a long time. Again all thanks to your channel i am 10 years younger and dont think 2 times before going out.

Which lavivid hairsystem is better, mirage or eros? Maybe even another model? Also is it worth ordering a blonde hair system and then dye it brown to make knots invisible?
