it's in between. Smyth played with them first right after Enemies came out. then Chris for a really short period. then Smyth became and official member. after he left,Chris became a semi-official member and went to Megadeth. it's a mess,it always was with their second guitarist...
@6Vital6Remains6 At least he had that modded with Duncans. It's the electronics that aren't the greatest with that model. The build quality's good, actually. Any decent repair person could fix it up to have it play well.
@gunstar9 Iirc, he admits in interviews that he wasn't taking good care of himself or his voice/performances during this period. Fortunately, around the time of the 'This Godless Endeavor' recordings, he sought to improve his health, started working out and cut down on intoxicants. It's evident from the DVD and other performance footage posted here from the past few years that he's sounding much better these days.
