I have a HRV ‘18 Honda AWD, and love it! Totally utility mini-suv. Only way I’d change it would be a small but mighty mini truck.

Id LOVE to see the stout come out with the corolla GRs 1.6l turbo! Could you imagine?! Nobody saw it coming byt theres a HUGE fan market that is taking these new turbo small trucks and turning them into street demons instead of rock crawlers (unibody ao might as well!). It could even take over the rally scene! You get to haul more than a small suv, get better mpg than mid or fullsize trucks, and can tune these bad boys to be quick. The maverick is taking its turn at becoming a legitimate sports truck. Kind of reminds me of the gmc syclone and i love fast trucks!

They have started building the production engine, it is after all a £100million project. JCB make construction and farming equipment which work on a timebase not mileage base, where the fuel is taken to the equipment to operate. Their small equipment vehicles upto one working day for utilities have a battery option, they can be recharged over night. All heavy commercial, farming, construction, marine and transportation manufacturers have a hydrogen engine working, most certainly across Europe, has a direct replacement of their present diesel engines. Some additionally have the fuel cell options under test Scania Volvo DAF Mercedes Hyundai Rolls Royce MTU etc but that is more expensive. The manufacturers Siemens Energy, Shell BP Air Liquide and TotalEnergies are rolling out major Hydrogen refuelling stations across Europe’s major motorways first. The advantages of the hydrogen ice engine it doesn’t add cost to the manufacturing of the vehicle, whilst meeting the requirements, battery and fuel cell vehicles do. It has the advantage that a direct replacement hydrogen engine kit for the diesel engine of an existing vehicle, could keep that vehicle running to the end of its life cycle so not requiring an immediate expense replacement. Other options are being reviewed for IC and turbine engines ammonia, biofuels and E fuels.

Why not mention the Honda Ridgeline as a competitor. It has been on the market since 2006. I'm not aware, but would assume it also will be hybrid or EV soon.

Hilux was not discontinued. It's sold in many other areas of the world.
