I bougth Cobra Adder R series with 130 lbs Limb, few speed loaders, and it is amazing product, and lot of fun. It will be great and practical if 7 arrows spead loaders can be mounted on the both side and bottom of picatinny rail parallel with the crosbow, and sharp points of arrows will face front side, also this way speed loaders will have 2 purpose. I like idea for new 170 - 190 pounds limb. Would purchase one if arrows are not to expensive that has to be used with that limb: 3 arrows for 79.99 USD . Best option will be if there will be available regular arrows for Cobra adder with aluminum nocks instead plastic one, sins on the video we can see that regular arrows are mutch faster then edgetac 200 arrows, it will solved issue of nocks beeing broken by using 190 lbs limb. Also there is a warning of early wear on the lock of the crosbow, but there is not lock part available to purchase separately. I would like to see on the market Magazin - double stuck for 18 arrows that was present on the one of the video clips. I am shure that 18 arrows magazin will be great market sale. Everyone would like 18 arrows instead 7 in the magazin. I hope that we will see that 18 arrows doubke stuck magazin soon avaliable on the market, and also better prices on arrows for new extreme viper limb. Love your videos, and products are amazing.
Awesome stuff can't wait to get one ,at first I was going with the seiage 300 but on the day I changed my mind and went with the R9RX , my family has been having a lot of fun over the last 2 weeks,I started think that I should have went with the S300 for distance shooting and up you pop with this amazing bit of kit ...I definitely made the right choice. Cheers .
So glad i seen this video i was a week away from ordering myself another 90lb bow for the adder and following your video to fixing them together to make 180lb draw weight This saves me the hastle 👌 What fps are we looking at with that draw weight?
Please make the 20 bolt mag for consumer sale, I will be your first customer. Even 15 would be great! Also can you link where to purchase the folding but stock.
I added the backer to my 130# and wasn't happy with it. I now have the 190# on my Cheap Shot which I had to stone top and bottom to get to fit into the mounting module. It's MUCH better! I plan to deer hunt with this bow in New York state which requires a minimum length bolt of 14". I got NO help from the website when I contacted them asking about a heavier bolt in that length so I purchased brass inserts and filled the shafts with table salt along with adding lighted nocks to create a usable compliant bolt and am now ready to hunt Whitetail deer out to around 35 yd.s. I don't think it's ethical to shoot beyond that for a clean kill.
Some calculated values. Venom KE increase 13 grams: 50% 20.8 grams: 25% Momentum increase 13g: 22% 20.8g 12.5% The increase in momentum and KE diminishes with the mass of your projectile. So the greatest effect of the new prod will be experienced with the lightest possible arrow. So if you’re using a mechanical broadhead of, say, 100 grains, the benefit of the new prod would be minimal.
Btw, momentum - the straight-line dissipation of force - is your more useful calculation for archery. It helps that it’s simpler to calculate. It occurs to me that one may increase the power of the existing arm by twisting the bow string, I’ll have to try that.
Like he said there’s not much in difference between the draw weight between the 130 and 190 but I feel a difference in cocking it. If you’re having a tough time already with the 130, I wouldn’t get the 190. I have 2 adders so im going to switch it, make my everyday bow 130 and the other a hunting 190 bow. Still i love the extra power but my purpose is mainly home defense, so ill sacrifice a some power for speed
We need a 10 m heavy arrow artillery weapon with the amunition round tips, which can travel 400 m, with the laser guided scope, saves the soldiers ear drums, and won't be hit until it hits the enemies at point vlack with precision. Very supressed weapon, until it hits the target, but you could at suppressors to the rounds.
Hello Joerg, I would like to ask about the saxon war bolts for the aderrini - can we make it available to the cobra adder as well now that the better 190 lb limb is available?
hi joerg, thank you as always for your amazing work! i have a 3d printer and i built the Adderini and i've been hooked! i'm now looking for a repeating crossbow, can't decide between the Cobra Siege 300 with the mag and the Adder with the 190lbs limbs.. the Cobra is it worth the price difference? Since it hits 300fps, how many does it achieve the adder with 190lbs libs? Thanks!
90 degrees is a bit far fetched in a real world scenario. But 45 would be realistic. It would certainly break the glass and make the driver soil their pants I'm betting haha
Hi! Please make comparison video of heavy and light bolt speed between double stack 130lbs (260lbs total) and this venom limb at 190lbs that will be very useful for decision making what is better suitable for each individual who wants to improve their adders. Thanks!
Yes, you can use the same string. The Venom is a bit shorter by design, so you can adjust the draw weight by twisting the string. No twists is weaker, 22 twists is full power.
This man changed the bow industry. bow and crossbows now have repeating functions which is amazing. on the adder the only thing i dont like is the cocking lever design. i think it is too unwieldy. i just hope they can make the cocking lever just like how henry rifles are designed. add also the fact that it does not have a fixed sights.
@@fizz576 it's very expensive due to the price in Euros, also shipping is even more costly, and that is when companies do actually ship stuff for here.
What if he has multiple bands on the crossbow arms so it's more revolver style and you shoot, it revolves the new band comes down and can shoot immediately. Then after the six shot you pull all band back with the metal arm thingie and reload with cargedge slotting new bolts in
Hey Joerg, Thanks a lot for your video. May I ask if you could test your 190lbs bow with the 3D printed Sling Hammer 6 8 10 or 12mm version from Cults3D. You have already shown that the Sling Hammer can withstand 90lbs. It would be interesting to see if the design can handle the 190lbs as well. Greets from Berlin. Frank
Hi Joerg, not sure if you monitor the comments. Would love to know if you can just put the Seige 300 GoGun mag straight on the Adder or do you need to modify it at all? Thanks
Hallo Jörg :) Im new to bow/x bow stuff.. Are crossbows generally stronger and have more force? Which one makes more fun? :D and which one is more precise? Do they both have pros and cons?
All the answers are very subjectives. The real, main difference is that you must LEARN to shoot with a bow, its not that easy, while with a crossbow you aim and shoot like with a gun.
Have you seen van helsing starring hugh jackman , he had a crossbow an automatic one , can you recreate something similar , you are genius , I know you can & that will be a fun project too !
Is there a way to buy the addar with this included instead of buying the original 130lb design? I’m thinking about buying one but not if it’s doesn’t have this bow included as a whole package.
Hi ,I bought an adder this week, absolutely love it only issue I have is a wobbly butt stock connection ( side to side ) is this normal ?.maybe I got a Friday afternoon special
Same thickness just a slightly shorter limb, key is to twist the string at least 16 times. He’s clocking the regular bolts 290fps with the venom, but mine im over 300fps, for a pistol cross its more than enough power to take down wild pig or deer.
Brilliant. Going to Gogun UK to pick one up immediately, assuming they're in. How do the vanilla strings cope with this? Also, the next mod up has to be a reinforced cocking lever for the Adder surely? - now that you have the poundage getting up there. Anyway, deepest respect for what you're doing. Many thanks!
@@jasonbuchanan7591 Wonky counter clearly; there were five left when I picked mine up - when I looked again it said zero. Either way fifty to just a couple in two days shows you the appetite for this stuff (me included obviously). Happy shooting, cheers!
Shaft bend that is difficult to see because aluminum. Even slightest bend can cause malfunction. Use more robust bolt using carbon fiber shaft and robust nock.
The Adder isn't really accurate enough for distances over 30 meters. A scope won't make much sense. This is a tactical crossbow for distances of 2 to 30 meters, not a long range sniper weapon.
pease HELP! while installing the venom extreme limb i dropped the (PIN) the holds the limb in place.. i cant find it anywhere.. i have hunted hi and low on the internet but i am unable to find a replacement.. my Adder is unusable untill i resolve this.. thanks for looking,
wow, I can't wait... Can you sell Dnelema strings? For cobra r8 adder? I can't make strings myself, It is not so easy. Es ist nicht so einfach - you know. Much love from Germany
ANY NEWS ON NEW UPGRADED LIMBS FOR THE COBRA SIEGE 300??? NOW THE ADDER IS STRONGER, MORE POWERFUL THAN THE SIEGE. WHAT CAN US SIEGE OWNERS DO TO MAKE THEM STRONGER THAN IT'S 150LBS STRENGH.???? PLEASE SEND SOME FEEDBACK. THANK YOU.
I think the Siege maxes out the body of the platform. Don't forget that the compound frontend delivers much more energy at 150 lbs than the recurve limbs at 190 lbs.
@JoergSprave please make a video about it if you can explain and elaborate a little more on this issue. Thank you brother. Greetings from Yucatán, México.
Hello Joerg. I saw on ebay a Cobra Attachment that allows to fold a buttstock , but it costs 100-150€. Could you make it yourself and sell it in your shops for lower price? Thanks.
Reverse draw is superior in performance but it would complicate the engineering and make it more prone to fail since it would require a cam/pulley system and it would mostlikely be a compound crossbow.
