Happy Weekend everyone! One of the first videos I ever made was a 10 min basic kung fu warm-up and stretch routine, and it is one of the most popular videos on my Channel and that video was made over 5 years ago! I thought in celebration of us reaching 50k subscribers and getting over the 5 year mark on RU-vid, today I would like to share with you an Updated version of Kung Fu Warm-Up and Stretch Routine, this time is 20 minutes. This is a great routine to do before any training or if you are short on time just this on it so own is a good workout to do. Happy training!

Wanted to say something. This is amazing, I love this warmup, and am training in this so I can one day be able to go to a shaolin monetary to learn martial arts. I will be going in a few months once things open back up. Your videos are awesome. I would love to donate and support you more to keep up the great work.

A year later, where you at? I trained at the Shaolin Temple from 2008-2010, and let me just tell you... if you want to prepare for the Shaolin Temple you'll need to do this, and a lot more, at least 3 times a day. Run every morning 3-5 miles light jog, calisthenics, wushu, yoga, boxing, whatever you can fill your entire day with. :) Good luck!

Thank you again for your time making these videos for us. I sense you are a genuine human being who wants to help others become healthy. Through training, happiness can be found. I have no Kung Fu school nearby. I would love to contribute to you for your hard earned work. I happily understand you have to provide for your family. Do you have a “Patron” account where people can contribute a few dollars, when able, for your RU-vid work? I’m wondering how much real training I can get solely from online/videos. I can only suggest for future videos, spend an extra moment on how to keep our knees safe when transitioning left to right, Such as during the Panda warm up. I felt a bit awkward because it was new to me and I wasn’t sure if I was straining my knees and lower back. A moment of guidance on safety would be appreciated. Thank you. I really do appreciate you sharing your kung fu practice with us - it is enervating! Woolung panda is a little hard for a beginner such as me. If you could demonstrate it a little slower and with clear instructions I think it would be simpler for all of us to follow. Thanking you.

Great energy and encouraging teaching. Really enjoyed and it wasn't unfamiliar. So grateful to have found your channel. I would like to improve my hips and hamstring flexibility. unfortunately long hours have sitting have made me very inflexible. What specific stretches do you recommend for that? Xie xie Shifu Yan Xin.

That was a good wokout!! I need this stretching routine... I haven´t touched my toes since 1985 at SCHOOL P.E I will start my Kung Fu journey at the end of this month - the day after my 52nd birthday! Never say Never. Innit.

Could not go to the temple I train at since December, now even this warm up is killing me. Damn. Working/Studying at a desk all day really kills you slowly, if you don´t squeeze in good habits of daily exercise/movement...gotta get strong again with you so I can face my Shifu again :D

These are excellent warm ups and stretches. But please do them on a soft surface like the gravel/dirt ground shown here or on a yoga mat at home or wood flooring. Hard surfaces are bad news for your knees. 👍🏻
