Not so much that Dexter was the best pickup like Heyward or Lackey or Zobrist, but more that he plays great at leadoff, he fills center so Heyward slides to right, he a great dugout guy with a great attitude all the time. Any possibilities of being vulnerable in the outfield that we had are now gone thanks to him being back.

I’m feeling 2026 for the cubs. Great management from David Ross and a lot of prospects are coming in. The cubs are rebuilding quickly getting a lot of prospects. I’m predicting the cubs will face the Yankees or Dodgers in the World Series in 2026.
