Vehicles filmed at Dealerships are For Sale. Make sure to visit the dealerships website for detail info about each vehicle. If your watching a video thats older than 90 days you can expect that vehicle to most likely already being sold, unless its a new car.
FYI - Charleston Car Videos on RU-vid Started in 2011. Back in 2008 is when I started filming cars as a car salesman to give people a better way to see a new or used vehicle. Its my choice to wear whatever hat I like in MY video and I'd wear it again to, but while staying at my Grannies house she noticed my hat in the wash room and threw it in the trash. So now I don't have a red hat anymore :(

I originally wanted to make a comment about that hat, but I reminded myself that the wonderful thing about life and politics is that we all are entitled to our opinions and even though we may not always agree we should always respect each others right to choice and belief. Let's not be divided and just respect one another. It is possible that we may not always agree but we can still get along with each other.

You will love it and you won't have that problem that mark p is saying. I've owned 4 of these, 97, 99 sap, 2008, and my current 2011 model. Never had these problems on any models.

I have never seen a review of a police vehicle before so I appreciate this one. There’s a lot of special wiring in these vehicles which will affect the price. Love the new intro to your video, don’t know if it’s permanent or not though. Have a great day my friend, always respect the police officers, they’re criticized no matter what they seem to do. So wait...43k for a non ecoboost 3.7? Wtf...ripoff. Our tax dollars r being taken for a ride . they could buy a new base package explorer sport for that kinda cash and get the 3.5 ecoboost ..the good engine basically lol

The police vehicles have heavy duty alternator the engine is tuned for more power heavy duty brakes heavy duty transmission and other reinforced parts

Up until recently the interceptors shared a lot of parts with the Sport, but with the lower powered 3.7l engine versus the 3.5l ecoboost. I believe they have started offering the ecoboost as an option on the interceptors though.

Watching this now, after i just bought a 2018 piu from a dealer. It has 119k miles. 3600 idle hours. I quite enjoy driving it. The 0-60 may not be to great but the 40-100 acceleration or so is plenty to have fun. Im looking to get an intake, exhaust, and couple minor upgrades. Paid 13,300 compared to 19k or more for comparable explorer xlt.

The strobes are crazy expensive. Go on a whelen site and be amazed. Also the government likes to get a discount, so a lot of contractors inflate their list price so the discount price is the retail price. So figure $5k for expensive lights, $5k govt discount to get to a street price.

Almost always the cars go to a dealership, then straight to the outfitter, then to a graphics company, and finally then to the department

The motor at least is different. You can't get the overbored 3.7 in the civilian Explorer. And yes, the lights and install is pretty expensive. That also doesn't count the cost of stickering it up either.

I'm sure the 43,000 price tag includes those factory lights that are inside cause ours dont have the lights those have. Ford factory must have different packages for the interceptors

Also if you drive the car it’s a felony....in South Carolina you can’t drive a car with any blue lights on it at all

I had Eagle RSA tires on a car once. Never again. Those steel wheels bend easily, but are cheap and can be fixed in some cases where alloy wheels would crack. That being said, a good alloy wheel is much stronger, though more expensive.

305 horse in a 6000 pound slug is nothing to get excited about.. ( test drove a used 2019 police utility in Calgary AB ) It's laughable to call the 3.7 a interceptor, what I do like is the column shifter gives so much more knee room, with the center console gone.. Ride is a bit stiff, as to be expected, but I like it, surprised how well it Handel's but any grandma's camary is just a bit quicker from 0 to 60..
