As a previous owner of a 250x, I can say you won't be disappointed with your purchase. It was the first quad I ever purchased and honestly got me into riding sport quads. Fun little machine for kids and adults alike. I re-jetted mine as well as slapped an exhaust / better filter on. Started up, no choke, every single time. Routine oil changes will keep this machine running forever. Mechanically, they are so simple. Enjoy!
Great little quads man, I absolutely love mine. I've ridden it hard and its taken every last bit of abuse. I plan on passing it down to my kid when he outgrows his 110
Funny you mention the issue with starting the quad while cold, I bought a 250 for my wife and it does the same thing so looks like I’ll be changing the jet. Thanks
Oh yeah super common on all these new machines. Even the Can-Am ds250 we had a couple of years ago for my daughter was the same thing. The government cracking down on all of this environment stuff really makes it difficult for these manufacturers to put these things out running the way they're supposed to. Fortunately it's super simple to change out the jet just go from the 38 pilot to a 40 and you'll have no problems.
@@93dizzy. Super easy once it is in neutral pull in the clutch while holding in the clutch pull the lever on the right side back and press down on the shifter. To get it out of reverse just click up on the shifter
@@kilawhaleproductions6792 Good question. I tried to buy a 2024 in Reno Nv dealer said they cannot sell to Calif residents. ( We cant wait to live in a free state like Nevada) i have a 2005 TRX250ex and have put some mods on it. replaced the worn rear shock with a Amazon cheapy but riding the rocky trials near lake tahoe for 60 miles a day beat my body up bad. Might order a new Honda shock but not sure it will be much better. Have you rode on rough trials?
@@benmoore7089 we had one. I have videos on the channel. Nice machine but lack of power steering on that behemoth will wear you out . They also don't make a Renegade 570 anymore just an outlander 470 and I don't recommend it. I have videos on my channel on those machines you can go back and watch.
@@OdysseyOffroad idk my son has outgrown his raptor 90 and that’s what I wanted was the trx or the recon and can’t get either anymore . Dealer can’t even order one . Thought maybe Yamaha still made the raptor 250 but nope .. Yamaha and Honda both have a 90 cc machine but don’t offer a 200 or 250 for these kids to grow into it’s dumb .. looking at a 300 brute force possibly I guess .. don’t want can am or Polaris .. frustrating lol
@@dannymacdonnell251 I. Man it's super frustrating that whole market has a big gaping hole in it. Have you looked into the KO 250? They have a 250 sport quad that ATV on demand just tested. Personally I would not hesitate at buying a Can-Am they're very good machines. The ds 250 we had one and while not fast, it is a durable machine.
@@OdysseyOffroad big gaping hole for sure .. I haven’t heard of ko 250 all have to take a look .. I had a 21 outlander 850 and traded it in for a grizzly . It was a nice bike but honestly didn’t trust the reliability . The ds 250 does look sweet though and I’m not wanting speed anyway .. I appreciate your response and love the videos keep them coming
@@dannymacdonnell251 i. Sorry ots actually a kayo 200 here is the atv on demand video on it. It is a chinese company though so there is that.. look into cfmoto also ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8Xb1bU5f0ZY.htmlsi=ePwqSwKS3sI7yW45
