That lock warranty is crazy. I cant name any other electronic item I own with a lifetime warranty ha

Exactly - well, remember, it’s an extended warranty and additional cost, but you’re right it’s still amazing it’s lifetime.

My Franklin has the locking bar and is 11 gauge. “Improved” while going down to the thinner 12 gauge is a stretch.

Thanks for watching and leaving your feedback! Well I believe in this video we go over the newest fire rating protection and locking bars. Sounds like you have an in between model - from 75 min & round bolts to where ware today. Nice safe, by the way 💪🏻😎

Can I change my internal lock so the feds can’t back door it? I realize it may void my warranty in doing so

Of course and I genuinely hope you never have feds knocking on your door with a warrant. Of course with Liberty’s rewritten policies they’ll need a subpoena at minimum. There’s videos on our channel how to make changes to your lock in order to remove any factory management codes. If your lock isn’t one in our videos let me know.

A relative of mine has a Liberty "Franklin Series" gun safe, whereas these just say "Franklin" towards the bottom. Is there a difference?

Yeah, I bet if you open the door of their’s it’s made in the late 90’s to early 2000’s, probably like 45-60 minutes of fire rating and not sure, but it might be a 11 gauge steel.
