Thanks for stopping. The FBi were conducting an arrest and had a search warrant. While doing their search they discovered a Liberty safe. They reached out and explained what they were doing, asked if Liberty had the combination on file. They did have the combination to the mechanical lock on file. Liberty requested an emailed copy of the warrant, the agent’s credentials and the address. And then they supplied the combination to agent working the case. Since then Liberty has changed their policies about working with any law enforcement, including the need a subpoena with Liberty listed in the document. I hope this helps answer the question and offer some detailed insight. Feel free to ask any other questions you might have.

Hey, thanks for stoping by. We have videos showing options of making changes to different kinds of keypads/mechanical locks. Customers have always had the option to remove any factory information, no matter what manufacturer since the very mass majority of locks have factory information.
SecuRam and S&G keypads do have a EMP resistance rating, can’t speak to solar flare. Great question though. My answer never changes, if that’s something you legitimately are concerned with go mechanically. They’re ridiculously easy to operate with a little practice. I have a video teaching you how to operate them.

Great video. I just ordered a USA 30 and waiting for it to be delivered. Can you tell me how easy it is to take the door off once opened and then reinstall it? I'm concerned about moving it with the weight it is and wanted to lighten the load if possible. Thanks!
Congrats and thanks for reaching out! Long and short is strongly advised by the manufacture to never remove or attempt to remove the door. Because of the internal hinge design it’s just not something someone can handle on their own. What kind of move are you talking, maybe I can give you some tips?
@mikechicco Your comment makes no sense to the question I asked. I needed to know if the door can be removed, not unlocked. I'm trying to make the safe a bit lighter when carrying it down a flight of steps.
@@mikechicco I would say with all the new polices like needing a subpoena with the manufacture being named in the subpoena would make exceptionally difficult for anyone to open the door. They would just cut the safe open as they typically do.
For those of us who aren’t worried about feds coming into our house this looks like a good one. Actually looking into getting a safe that fits a closet that’s 36 wide and 24 deep. Any recommendations? This seems like it may stick out a bit and o won’t be able to close the door
Thanks for watching. You’re right, you’d need a precise measurement because the handles bring this to 25.5” in depth, but the body is only 22”. There’s not a ton of options in the market with 36” of width and shallower than 22” (body only). You could go shallower, but it wouldn’t be as wide. For Liberty Centurion 24 might work or maybe a Browning Sporter 33. Super precise measurements either way. And keep in mind if you want to add power for lights, dehumidifier or anything else they typically adds 1.5” to your depth.
@@loosescrewdrew Depends on gun count and honestly the Browning Sporter 33 interior configuration may be more modular allowing you to do more with a smaller space. Like I try o tel everyone 80% of all safe owners want/need a larger safe within 2-3 years. Buying small to fit a space is typically regretted, but we almost all do it…..me included 🤦🏼♂️. Mine is now in the garage with a higher rated safe, a dehumidifier to fight moisture and a SafElert to alway monitor my safe like an alarm system. We made a video on that product recently too.
Great safe company, excellent product, made in the USA. When a warrant was presented, they complied and assisted law enforcement. Couldn’t ask for a better company! I’ll only buy Liberty.
I wouldn't take one of these gun Safes for free. As for the workers losing their jobs, the company gave their jobs away when they gave the codes away. It's not my fault, it's the company's fault. They're losing their jobs.
I have that exact safe. It is pretty cool but 36 gun??? Maybe if they are all single barrel shotguns or hand guns. MAYBE. I have 11 rifels with scopes, including 2 AR setups, one of which has to be on the top shelf laying flat. 11 isn't even close to "36" !. They are all a pain in the ass to get out and place back in.. good safe just not good.
Thanks for the share. You’re right, safe manufactures started adding a line at the bottom about scopes and different sized guns. I’ll be honest I made a video about the Rifle Rods on our channel, it genuinely helped me open more room in my safe. Check it out and let me know what you think. AR platforms are just bulky monkeys that need more space to breath, I have a couple in the Rifle Rod video, seriously check it out. I’ve been able to add more rifles to my safe comfortably.
@@wtaboas Make sure it Made in USA, then the thickness of steel, fire rating and then just the same normal features. TSC sells the Liberty Revere which is basically the Liberty USA on my website
@@wtaboas same, same, same. Country of origin? Whats the thickness of the steel in the body? What’s the fire rating? How many sides of the door do the bolts extend/retract from? After that you’re looking at things like door, lights, adjustable shelving and how many guns. The first 4 things are everything , just write them all down side by side and compare. 1776 has changed over the years, just look at those 4 variables to compare.
@@wtaboas It’s actually the same thing, manufacturers don’t actual sell to the public. They make take your info/sale, but they transfer it all to your closest dealer. Dealers are great to get real time answers and expectations when you’ll receive the safe.
@@TheChakita44 Fair question - I guess I probably still base it off of what I need most / American made / budget. And I did my own research on Monomoy, specifically who at the firm actually donated and how much, if they ever worked with Liberty directly, did Monomoy donate or did individuals donate? All public intel. And you’re right, I sell them, but at the end of the day it’s a quality made American made product that’s been leading the field for decades. Changing the lock/combo as the end user is very simple during the purchase process. Or even after.
I appreciate the quick reply and you’re right I’ve also thought about this. I have my eyes on a colonial 23 white with brass hardware but I want a mechanical lock not electronic. It’s a clean looking safe almost decorative if you will. I just want to put my hard earned money somewhere we can trust as gun owning law biding citizens
@@TheChakita44 Extremely popular model. Kind of like the AR platform - you can buy and upgrade with lights, dehumidifier, add a drawer, handgun hangers. And it comes with a mechanical or SecuRam Backlit lock your choice, same price. Your dealer (maybe not the big box stores) can set the mechanical to whatever combo you want (for the most part, there is some science to a combo). Even the SecuRam Backlit can be “hard reset” which removes manufacturer’s recovery codes.
