Altering your soft plastic like this adds a new action to them and can fool wary bass on tough days. It is a great alternative to OSP Dice for finesse fishing on both wacky rigs and drop shot rigs.

I've been hanging on to two bags of the OSP Dice. Kinda scared to use them. Wanna wait until I know there's some decent fish in the area. I like this small stick bait idea, as I can use my G7 worm tubes so the smaller fish can't pull it off as easily. Please keep us posted and maybe do a follow up video after you've spent more time fishing these 👍

I've been adding strands to soft plastic baits for 50 years since I was a kid. As a kid there was no Senkos, helgramite type baits so I would and still do add skirt material or yarn as well as embroidery thread. The dice may work for some but to rich for my blood or disability check lol.

@@Surfer-727 I think, though, that the tendrils are the main idea here. That smaller package might just be the enticing nugget those fish are after. This is a great idea. I think the worm body looks better than a square/cube! Definitely more like an insect. For finness recently I found some wobble head need rigs, 1/16oz. I've been putting Zmans ned tube, or whatever the smaller tubes are. It's been working great. It has great action with wobble style head. Regular TRD looks good on it to. The movement in water is all action it needs. There's a newer small lake I recently got act to. Fairly clear with ton of grass. I had a bass that wouldn't touch anything. I through wacky, Neko, multiple different soft plastic profiles. He wouldn't touch anything. Then that little tube on wobble head. He couldn't resist. Are that pretty quickly

@@SteveRogersOutdoors I'm definitely liking them. What I have is made by Flatlands- (swing head neds) I only have 1/16 oz but I plan ont grabbing couple different weights on my next TW order. @@SteveRogersOutdoors something else I've been doing sense last summer is. Putting #2 hyper wire slip rings on my texas rig hooks. Gives baits a lot more movement if you want it. Steve, Rigged a few of these baits up and tried them last trip out. I had a few hits but seemed like they(fish) were hanging onto the skirted material unless they were small ones. After cutting strand in half & threading it thru the worm do you trim down the strand and more? I cut mine back but still going to try it a few more times. Stay Safe & God Bless!!!
@SteveRogersOutdoors

I’m curious to know how the old original flat rubber skirt material would perform. Like the old H&H spinnerbaits had on them. Also Mylar would be a good test. You have living rubber also like the old Arkie jigs. I’d be willing to bet the silicone rubber like the original dice lure is the best for that shimmy. If you happen to test any of those out I’d sure like your response. That old thin flat rubber (H&H style) would probably melt after a while being in contact with plastisol.

@@SteveRogersOutdoors What I did was apply this to my favorite Ned rig, a Zman Big TRD on a VMC Rugby jig head Texas style. I didn't have a big eye craft needle, but a sharply bent thin paperclip worked really well, penetrating tougher Elaztech with ease. Instead applying of single skirt strands, I dragged a folded strand and the cut the loop for a double whisker look. Then repeated orthogonally every cm or so from hook bend to tail. The under water action looks tantalizing with the bouyant Elaztech tail sticking up and the whisker legs undulating. Fish have a sensory lateral line that can detect subtle water vibrations and the whisker legs make it look alive visually. Unfortunately, they half drained my favorite lake for maintenance so I can't report caught fish yet.
