We don't talk about Bebe Drake enough. Mama been working in the industry for decades, comedic timing QUEEN & I'm surprised they used her actual name in this series. 😆
I remember this show when I was a kid. I tell people about it and they remember Sheryl from was Moesha mom. But I remember her on this show and even further back in the 80's my mom used to watch her on "It's a livin"
Eventhough i was 8 when this show came out i still remember it. I know everyone knows Ms.Sheryl as Moesha Mom but, can remember her from this show and back the 80's my mother used to watch her on " It's A Living "
E.D. Thweatt Lol... My thoughts exactly. Feels good to be reminded of how fly, stylish and truly talented the people of my culture USE to be. Tyler Perry and reality tv are a downgrade. I miss seeing shows like this.
Unfortunately this show was one of the many sitcoms that occupied the 9:30 spot on ABC 's TGIF friday nights lineup. and if my memory serves me this was a summer replacement i think because my family and i just moved into our new home when this aired in the late summer of 1990. i haven't seen this since it's original broadcast , and it's a pretty well sitcom.
WHERE DID YA FIND THIS???? I loved this show as a kid. Cheryl Lee Ralph rarely talks about this show for some reason. TV just ain't the same...# 80's baby. Thanks for sharing this.
Glad to see these older black sitcoms our children of all racists need to appreciate all artists no matter what it is remember when they would say that a boy wanted to be in ballet was for girls not true we today need to educate these children today because some parents today aren't keeping the village open think about it 👌
All those wigs and weaves in that salon and she tells the brotha to be honest about his hairpiece. This is the generation that started the modern independent woman sister code fellas.
+Daryl Middlebrook naw, too bad it didn't come along twenty years later when people were all about banal, stereotypical black shows. . . .we could post it up right next to any of Tyler's shows. . . .maybe not. . . .the dialogue is still a bit too structured and the characters have a little bit too much dimension. . .
This show was only shown for 1 series in the UK autumn 1990. Then fresh Prince of Bel air took over in the winter and New attitude never was shown again
