Thanks for covering this game, I bought it on day 1 and even if I liked the atmosphere and the combat was not so bad, the ammount of bugs and changes in the music made me regret buying it. I tried to refund but I played too much time, so now I'm stucked with it and I hope it gets better. Until it gets more polished, I wait

It is totally worth it the biggest issue is they dont emphasize on gems and how important they are you should slot strength gems into a set of armor you like at the beginning cause in increases melee damage and if you dont youll soon find yourself unable to kill basic enemies or taking 15 mins for 1 enemy outside of that the games alot of fun and addicting

I just bought the game last night and I can't get it out of my mind. It creates such a unique and immersive world the same way ds1 did when I first played it. Surprinsgly, I really enjoy the combat with keyboard and mouse controls. For me, parrying with my mouse is sooo much easier than a souls game using a controller. That added with the satisfaction of stunning an enemy and chaining a perfect combo to finish them off before they can even strike back feels incredibly satisfying. This is a definite buy in my book and I haven't experienced that many bugs at all. I remember when I bought the first Dark Souls when it was originally ported to PC and it was basically unplayable without a mod so dealing with a little jank is not a big deal to me.

im not a fan of the loading screens either... sure some were pretty long but it does break the immersion of walking around this enormours structure and also like you said, once you unlocked a homonculous you would just teleport there so you would really just go through them once

Someday this game will be reasonably playable, will it ever not have mixed to negative reviews on steam, of course not. But i love it still

If Bleak Faith Forsaken ever finds its way onto console (preferably PS5 and Xbox Series S/X exclusive) I would seriously like to try it out, at the very least. Especially now so since it seems co-op is a very real possibility.

I don't care who you are the score and atmosphere for this game is god tier. Tons of jank sure but I admire the vision of the devs even if they didn't quite get there. I'd rather someone reached for the fucking stars and failed than flipped some easy bullshit

Its very ambitious. The atmosphere is nice but the controls suck.

I wanted to like the game so much, but sadly, it's a horrible mess. I forged on and on for a long time, way way past the refund window, maybe got halfway through the game and just dropped it because it's a hideous bug-ridden mess.

potential that was wasted. pathetic gameplay. boring bosses from too easy to too hard. lots of flashy magic which makes you blind. boring and repetetive dialogs. not bad soundtrack . poor hitbox. i hate hud. took everything bad from soulslike. adds nothing you can like. they made an attempt to allow mountain climbing but not used by the game. they developed underwater world but there is almost nothing. similar about environment. i spent 15' going upstairs in 1 of the blocks just to discover nothing there
