Hey Folks! Just want to address something quickly. I say at the beginning of these BTS videos that I DO NOT NORMALLY FOCUS ON LYRICS. I honestly don't normally enjoy doing it either. I'm doing it purely because of lot of ARMY have been so kind and have been asking for it. I've had a lot of disrespectful comments come through on this video (which I haven't approved) which have completely IGNORED the fact that I said I'M NOT GOOD AT INTERPRETING LYRICS, bad-mouthing me because I have got the lyrics wrong. I have to be honest, it's getting a bit frustrating. It's very important to me that I enjoy doing this channel, so if this continues, I will probably honestly stop checking out the lyrics out the second time round on BTS songs, which is annoying because I love what I'm hearing from this group! Lyrics are not why I personally love music. Please respect this, and please take into account that I say in every video that I'm not good at interpretating lyrics FOR THIS EXACT REASON. Really appreciate the people who have taken this into account though :) Much Love, Ross x

I love this song, so beautiful Based on the introduction of what RM has shared to us in a past broadcast of him, the song tells a story of how sadness and fear grow as a person encounters pain/struggles in life. He particularly shared about relating to ARMYs letters, comments and posts in social media who expressed themselves when feeling down and seeking comfort and being grateful to BTS as they became a huge role to motivate strength, acceptance and love. He imagined that during concert tours, fans share the fun with them but he realized that beyond those faces are fragile lives who have different stories to tell and fans count on their songs and presence. As for BTS, who encourages everyone to ''speak yourself/ourselves" (from their voices of reasons in many ways) the message or rather, main inspiration of the song is that, they are going to continue to listen to our stories and will never stop singing for us, while we speak ourselves. Personally, it transmits to me the power of resilience, how you can break when everything gets difficult and uphill but you can be stronger than that, as they say: what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... and in the end, your voice and your spirit must be stronger than that. It is a reminder that we are not alone, that there is someone who feels and understands our pain, that it is for this very reason that we must continue forward with determination, having the support of others... It is a recognition from BTS to their fans for giving them strength with his love in the face of bad times and vice versa. Regards from Mexico 💜

This song is not about a relationship, it’s about BTS’s experience with their fans and with being in the spotlight. There is another comment below by lavenderbluemama where she goes into perfect detail about the meaning, but BTS’ songs always tell the inner stories of their lives, or are meant to project some kind of message to their fans, their haters, or the world in general.

This song is part of the album 7 as a few people have said. This album was to be their swan song. Their title pieces for this album were "On" and "Black Swan" they had every intention of going into the military after they did a world tour with this album. Most band have to go into the military before their 29th birthday (Korean Age). So Jin's age as well as Suga put them on the cusp of going into the military. That is the background of all the songs you are presently hearing. There was one other album written after that would be the BE album. It was written during the pandemic and has a different feel. "Louder then Bombs" is a song where they are specifically talking to their devoted fans. They could see the smiles on fans faces, hear their screams but we all knew what that meant those smiles weren't real they were sad thinking that it would be the last smiles for many years. Behind those smiles was sadness but they didn't want us to see that sadness. So to hide their pain the pain of not seeing those smiles for a long time they would sing "Louder tan bombs". This song has lyrics that are very similar to another song in Japanese called "2, 3" . Also about the pain that ARMYs went thru but this pain was due to the false rumors that were spreading about BTS. Things like plagiarism, sajaegi (buying your records for better numbers on Music Shows), lip syncing. Constantly BTS comforts ARMY when they have to deal with things due to the problems that come up for BTS. This album was written with the thought but it didn't happen because their was no concert for this album, as they had planned a World Stadium Tour that had to be cancelled because of the pandemic. Also the members did not start going into the military until 2022 because of the same reason. But the song "Louder than Bombs" was sung in an online concert called O:NE and it was beautiful.

Because of all the effect on there voices and layering vocals if they do perform it live it wouldn’t sound as epic and dramatic which is why we sadly haven’t had a live performance of it but I would love to hear the members sing it just acapella like during lives or just casually without a full production and everything

Very little of their songs are about "romance". The majority have a double meaning and touch on deeper subjects of their experience in the industry, being targeted for accomplishments, dealing with the spotlight, commentary on social issues and experience with ARMY.

I've paused right at the beginning to "answer" your question on that orchestral version of Black Swan. First, I'm sorry I can't be more precise because my brain is gassing very bad right now and I'll get lost online with my ADHD if I try to search for it. I'm hoping other ARMY will add the info. The version you heard that you've remarked on a few times now, is actually from one of their award show performances that you absolutely MUST see, preferably in its entirety and not just the one song. My problem is that there are 2 major shows whose names are so similar that they often get confused, but you must remember that BTS works super hard to make each performance unique (especially the award shows) and spectacular in their own way, so it makes a difference which shows is referenced.. The pandemic years have all blended into each other in my mind, unfortunately. You need to look for the MMA (or) MAMA 2020(?) BTS (Black Swan) performance (PLEASE watch the entire BTS performance, not just the one song) (there might be a thumbnail with Jimin and Jungkook, dressed in white, dancing together). I'll try to go searching and come back to edit, but someone please bless me on my Internet X ADHD wandering, lol. 🤞🤞 Second, Black Swan was introduced to us in the form of an Art Film version with NO BTS members filmed!! It was a dance troupe called MN Dance interpreting the song through dance, and was part of a project called "Connect; BTS " that was part of the Map Of The Soul:7 album promotions. BTS commissioned several collabs with fine artists of several methodologies to interpret their songs through that artist's media, and the results were on display in early 2020 in several major cities, including NYC, London, Paris(?), and Seoul. MN Dance was in eastern Europe (Slovakia? Hungary? sorry I've forgotten) It was a super cool and ambitious project, cut short by COVID lockdowns, though we did get to at least see their premieres. The Black Swan Art Film was the official MV for over a month(or2?) before the MV you saw was released, and had an orchestral arrangement with BTS vocals. Several MVs came from that album, and at least 3 songs had 2 official MVs that were totally different from each other. We found out 2.5 years later that the album (with all the special projects put into it) had been intended as their last album& tour before they started their military service, but COVID changed EVERYTHING. All the songs (& MVs) are ocean deep with meaning, and you might like to do a quick Wikipedia search on the album/songs before reacting. (I know some reactors like to go in completely blind🤷‍♀️, and some people dislike any research done off camera, so you could film the research you do, maybe🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️I know ARMY would be fine with a long video where you are searching to learn more about the group& its music. I'm sorry your getting some not nice comments, I think you've done a good job explaining how you like to enjoy music and I just wanna say that I really really appreciate you taking the time to do the lyrics on the second viewing when it's not something you focus on. I might be the polar opposite to you but I can respect that you experience music different from me and that's okay. I happen to not be good at understanding their BU storyline well and had to watch a lot of explained videos to help lol. Also wanna forewarn you sometimes during comebacks to bts there are an increase of toxic people usually antis or trolls but somethings people calling themselves fans it's like they find a channel and flock to it together (or somebody with multiple accounts). Hopefully this isn't something like that but I've seen it happen before.

Welcome to the rabbit hole! I look forward to your BTS journey….I did see that you’ve gotten some negativity about the lyrics…please know that the disrespectful portion of ARMY is usually the loudest but definitely does not represent the majority. I believe many get upset because they are so eager for you (or any new reactor) to instantly see and understand all the things they love about these guys, but it’s frustrating that they choose to be rude about it. I hope you will not let them discourage your journey. My 18yr old daughter and I are both ARMY and I can honestly say BTS has helped us both in many ways, and thru many dark moments. they share A LOT of themselves with us (not just music but behind the scenes, vlogs, lives). Having seen them live more than once I can attest that everything they do is better live and they are nice humble guys. Sadly they have not yet performed this song live and most likely will not from what they’ve said to us so far. My favs are outro tear live- it’s only the 3 rappers The truth untold-just the 4 vocalists Or for full group….black swan, fake love, magic shop or make it right. Reposting my comment from a previous Louder Than Bombs reaction... This is just my take on this hauntingly beautiful song. (I could be wrong.) Think about what a pressure it is on these young men, who declared it their mission (from the get go with their name) to protect the youth of the world with their music. In one way, when you share your pain with one another (BTS & ARMY), you can understand & help each other. And this goes both ways. But shared pain is still pain. Although sharing & support through hardship or suffering is amazingly helpful, it does not mean that the obstacle or suffering can always be alleviated. So for BTS, as they come to realize that all the members of their audience from every country in the world are potentially experiencing pain & suffering from circumstances beyond anyone's ability to resolve in the moment, it would be an unimaginable weight to bear. And yet, they take this on. They continue their declaration that they've had from the start. They keep doing all they can do - speaking & singing louder than bombs, wherever they are in the world, trying to uplift people, out of their pain for a moment, even in the midst of the most dire of situations

This song is from their album Map of the Soul 7, released Spring of 2020. That was a good time to be ARMY. I brought a lot of friends into the ARMY with that album. (Black Swan is also from that Album) maybe their best album, although Love Yourself: Tear is pretty close. Also, this is not the best translation of this song because it is literally translated word for word without taking idioms and expressions into consideration.

Yes! So glad youre checking another bts song out. This is easily a favorite. Lemoring isnt always a good choice for lyric videos. There is one that has a netflix vibe to it which is really well done that i do believe has correct translation and also shows who is harmonizing with who. If thats something you like. The meaning i think had go do with armys i generally know but since im not 100 percent sure i would explain it well, i wont say further. Im sure there will be lots of others that can/will for you. When it come hmm it come the same time that Black swan, both on the same album. (2020) I think the easiest way of you look at lyrics will be if you asume that song isn't about romance or love relationship 🤔. I would say that with their 300+ songs maybe 20 is literally about romantic love, and then maybe next 20 can be take like this but don't have to bc they have few explanations, there are also a lot songs about selflove but this is different group too soo.... But rest isn't, simply hmm. This lyrics video is so bad ehh... Song was write bc of Armys struggles, RM said when he reads letters and messages from fans about how BTSsaved lifes, how people were in bad place when they found BTS, he said how he saw in this words how much people were hurting, they had to make a song and say that there are here, they listening to us... That is why lyrics say "Your silent sorrow shakes me" bc people usually are hurting alone, the line "The facial expression you made since the time I learned that it’s not what it meant" literally mean that when they look at fans they are always happy for them and smile for them, etc, but the the words they read in messages are full of pain, so they know that behind all this smiles there is more and nor so happy. And with words "I promise to you and myself. No matter what kind of waves strike, we will endlessly sing towards you" they say they will be there for US they will sing our stories and their stories in hope they can make waves go, they will sing, they will never look away. And Suga rap is a little of their story, he say that people around say that the pain that he has is hypocrisy bc he is so famous and rich how could he be in pain etc ehh, so he said no matter what they do, say, show they will roll in shit - words that haters around will say that theirs pain isn't real bc they have no reason to feel any when they are in such good position. sad lyrics, sad reality....
