characters that hit for 1k+ damage w/ head shots make me coom. double barrel umbral lance looks like a lot of fun. gotta have good aim to make it work tho, not much room for error in terms of aiming even w/ max deft hands because your dps is gonna get hella crippled if you miss.
His abilities are cool and stuff, But it would've been better if he wasn't an abyssal character but a being from the void in the lore. Since jenos talks alot about the "void" being this dark place in space it would make sense for something to come from there to kill him
tbh as far as echo characters go, I'm ok with them as long as they don't make very many of them. otherwise it's gonna get annoying and it's gonna feel like lazy design. like maybe if we get an echo champion every like 5 or 6 champ releases that'd probably be often enough that it wouldn't be offensive.
also one thing i've noticed about omen w/ his ult is often times you can get a lot more combo kills with the ult if you just drop the ult on point and then yeet people that are trying to get out of it back into it w/ the grab. comes up more than the ult + grab + dash combo, tho that combo is still nice.
i also really like that omen is a hit scan damage champ w/ decent combo potential. most of the time the hit scan damage champs end up being less combo heavy and more spammy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but i like having more diversity in the roster.
I understand your points about the color schemes of the skins kind of sucking, but I kind of love the comically saturated red. And while I can see why the purple one seems one-note to you, I really like the shades of purple they use for it, and I think they did a good job creating a good-looking skin using as limited of a palette as possible
Yeah and he is the disciple of the abyss, so it makes sense that he has that red skin because nyx also has it, and it makes sense that he has his purple skin bcs that just looks like the abyss and nyx/seris (i think of seris bcs of the eye thing he has)
@@opium.wizard that wouldn't make him a flank, it would just make his dash more usable and easier to set up the damaging trail to hit people. Currently it's like a fast but weak ash bash, if he could pass through people it would be a fast and deadly Fernando dash. (Neither of those two are flanks btw)
@@opium.wizard buddy no dmg has movement ability that gets stopped by collision with players or deployables so you are wrong you don't need to be flank to have a God movement ability, it isn't vertical or anything it's horizontal so it makes sense
personally i dont wanna see lazy works in paladins like omen. paladins has a small community and its not get bigger with lazy works like that. love from turkey andrew.(still waiting for jenos ult tutorial😂)
Not the "Step into the dark and die" voice line WHAT IS THIS 😭😭😭 LIKE if it was "Step into the dark and perish" would be so much better, even if ir was too similar to Jenos
Khan, Jenos, Furia, Seris, and Makoa can make that ultimate really great if they're paying attention. They'd make him insanely valuable in siege and payload. Just with the amount of area/ crowd control and his dash being able to block off so many paths... I think you may be downplaying what his kit really can do. Not just numerically but gameplay positioning wise... His kit seems extremely reliable, and overall him and Jenos working in a team are likely going to be insane just from dual grip and vertical and horizontal kill all ults.
Does his ultimate have 2 different voicelines for when you are playing omen himself? I heard him say the obvious "step into the dark, and die" but i also heard him say "run... hahahaha" instead of the before mentioned voiceline. Edit: it seems like he rotates between the two, starting with step into the dark.
PSA FOR OMEN YOU DO NOT NEED DEFT HANDS AT ALL Dont waste your money on deft hands. Genuinely dont. Run the +5 more card and you can chain up to 12 shots conescutively with 0 deft hands in a quick burst. Ive tested and used this a lot on my stream testing omen for around 3 hours learning how he plays and such.
@@Darklordn0va but you only have 2 max ammo, so the most you could chain is ~6 (may actually be 5, not sure if it can quite shoot 2 times per second) with the ammo card since it only lasts for 1 second
I don't mind the colors, but I think at minimum the bones and horn should have some degree of seperation. Making it all look like one piece is a bit tacky imo
I wonder if instead of a double gourd talent they did a double dash talent with a decreased distance or decreased dps. With an increased cool down. So you could kinda triangle someone in with dashes like a cage and secure a kill.
This is not okay. There's no way he won't be nerfed. Although, knowing mojo, they'll probably give him the kasumi treatment and over-nerf him to the ground.
I think his skins have an issue where they just throw one colour all over his bony parts. Sonej at least has a slightly different colour for the face to distinguish it from the horns.
Binary Star Jenos had enough of being relentlessly mocked so he became his own character. Jokes aside, I'm looking forward to play with Omen once he comes out!
This character seems like he would be amazing at harassing while also just destroying flanks that come to kill him. From a field that damages AND slows, a dash that hard punishes squishies who walk in it, and pretty long hard stun that throws people, it seems like flanks will have a horrible time trying to flank an omen who knows what they're doing.
The ult is too slow, will work like Skye ult and everybody will dodge, it even has a weaker range than Skyes ult. But this champ seems quite broken especially on low range maps.
Even though they can get out of the ultimate ez it still makes them move out of position like dva bomb it ez to move away from but you still have to move out of position
Couldnt you run the damage increase at 2 reduced ammo per lv at lv 4 or 3 to be most optimal? At lv 3 you're doing 620 per shot, but in your effective range this is essentially old Andro lv dps. And with his ammo card at lv 3 you get a full clip back when you use your slow
i kinda like the gold omen skin. i do agree that the others are kinda meh, but i don't think they're awful either. there's far worse skins out there. like the midnight masquerade caspian skins. seriously man i dont wanna scope in with a sniper and end up accidentally zooming in on caspian's crotch.
honestly i feel like rather than giving the ominous brand a reveal w/ the first talent i think it would've been really nice if the other effect made your dash better instead. granted his dash isn't bad, but maybe they could've done something like make your dash pass through players + give it some other benefit like maybe you get some passive healing for a few seconds after you dash or something. just food for thought.
I am excited for this champ, and love playing Jenos, so like some of the similarities. And that ult dmg...need I say more. And more, more, more and umbral lance looks crazy.
his voice direction is very odd and sticks out from other abyssal champions. It doesn't have that dark voidy echo sound and instead he just sounds like a Saturday morning cartoon throwaway villain
I dont know if your have played league of legend but Ornn´s ultimate, from lol, can push his ultimate with his Dash, Omen should have to be able to do that, since this is to much damage, the ultimate should have to move slow.
Talents should considarably change the gameplay of a characters and most importantly, be FUN. Extending the duration of abilities, giving you more charges of the AOE and locking to rifle mode ISNT FUN (most of the time, double AOE is a little fun, but could be more fun). What about a talent where instead of trowing the enemy after the grip you smashed them into the flor stunning the objective and dealing AOE damage. What about a talent that let you move while in the dash so you cang change the direction of the flames. What about a talent where the AOE now slightly pulls enemies to its center, and if the hit the center theyre stuned. See, creating FUN talents isnt that hard (obviously creating FUN and FAIR talents would requiere more thought, testing and programming, im here just throwing 5 min ideas, but you get the message)
I realized his ult is a copy of Jenos's. Jenos: Step into the light, and PERISH! Omen: Step into the dark, and Die. Clever but not as cool as Jenos IMO.
