I love watching these marching bands and other activities in London through youtube. Thankful to witness the changing of the guards last July when I was in London. I went to the Horse Guards Parade too. would love to comeback and watch them again soon. I am from Canada 🇨🇦
Right from the start, we know that this will be another of your magnificent videos Mr. Baton. The quality of your sound is peerless. I love and admire The Superb Seven as I call them!!! Thank you very, very much.😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
@MrBaton74 I love all your videos! I am from and live in the USA 🇺🇸. I’ve been watching your and other’s channels regarding anything about the The Guards, The Troopers, Horse Guards, the ceremonies on Horse Guard’s Parades, as well as; other British military parades and performances. I absolutely love and adore them all! Thank you so much for all your incredible footage! You do an excellent job! I look forward to watching your new videos! I would love to see it all in person, but since I am unable to travel, I am blessed to watch through your eyes. God bless you and God bless your king 🇬🇧🙏🏻❤️
I’m adding a second comment. I love to watch the King’s Horse Guard’s and the B&R Horse Guards. My favorite band wears the same “helmet”? as the Horse Guard Troopers. Is that band the The Household Calvary or is it a different regime? Would someone let me know, please. I’m not, yet, very good at knowing the various regimens, but I’m trying to learn them. I am in the USA 🇺🇸 and I love all things British, especially London and the military. I’ve been watching videos and learning about all things British. I wish I lived there! God bless the British people and their King 🙏🏻❤🇬🇧❤🙏🏻
You’re right. It’s the band of the household cavalry. I’m American too and still learning. Still wish I understood all of the marching and walking around in circles and yelling 😂think it would be so cool to have a band march ( while not playing music) by while you’re waiting in traffic and an honor to be a mounted police officer to lead or follow them.
The scarlet coated are the Life Guards and the blue coated the Blues & Royals (an amalgamation of the Royal Horse Guards and the 1st Royal Dragoon Guards)
The regimental colour of The Coldstream Guards is decked, likely for Lincelles, Aug.18, 1793, a battle honour awarded to the regiments in the Brigade of Guards, which then included the Coldstream, Grenadier and Scots Guards. During the Revolutionary War with France, the brigade assaulted Lincelles, a village in Flanders that was supposed to be held by the Prince of Orange, but was entrenched with artillery and French revolutionary infantry, numbering three times more than the brigade's forces. Nevertheless the brigade stormed the defences, cleared the village, captured 12 guns, one stand of colours and about 100 prisoners. The stuff of a Boys Own adventure tale..
Dear Mr. Baton, an intriguing thought: I'd be delighted but not surprised if in fact you are a soldier! You show areas of the Barracks that I don't believe we have seen before. Surely the you-tubers must be granted permission. A thought ONLY!!!
being a rather practical minded get to the point person, my questions are who thought up all this ceremony, and of what value is it? for protection? amazes me the amount of ceremony, inspections etc. etc. for what reason.
