I really wanted to like this game because the Bug race looked to fun to play... but wow are they not. You can easily tie them up and beffuddle them with light quads early game. The zerg melee oriented race isn't as good at zerging as the human race lol. Crabs can't catch them, hunters can't catch them, you need to herd and surround them to kill them unless the AI or player is asleep. That actually happens though because the AI is pretty bad but even bad AI can handle driving faster then your units and shooting lol
AI aliens are bugged and don't move as fast as they do when humans are controlling them, it's going to be fixed tho. A player hunter can def keep quads at bay depending on the terrain, and if you have impalers at base quads are not really a problem
You clearly haven't played Alien long enough. I'd say they are the most balanced Faction in the game right now. What most fail to understand is that the Aliens cannot rely on just one Unit may it be the Crab or the Scorpion. They are the literal sense of combined arms. With the Hunter being at the center of attention. Hell I've been very successful with a Hunter taking out that early game Quad rush by flanking them while they engage crabs and impalers. Player controlled Quads btw. Also btw. Just so you know; you are not playing Starcraft so get your zerg bias out of your brain.
@@TurKlack Yes but if the quad is also controlled by a player they only need to drive away from you and to the left and they can shoot you while you can't catch it. The quad can easily outmaneuver the hunter and start working on the shrimps.
