Definitely interested in the CTS3. You mentioned several times in this video and also in the unboxing video that you just received your “beta test” unit and that is what we are seeing. If I order one now what do I get? I am certainly willing to provide constructive feedback, however I'm not particularly interested in buying an interim “test” unit. Will this be explained in upcoming reviews?

Ok, the access to extra advanced parameters and the resolution/wifi/quick boot-up to gauge screen hooked me. I ordered the cts3. Dammit. Now I just have to convince my wife that she needs a cts2 in her car!
Just installed mine today! I'm excited even though I can't get it to work in my truck. I've confirmed it works in another vehicle but my truck is a gremlin.
I like my CTS2, but man, it's slow as a snail and the resistive touch screen sucksss. Glad they fixed those issues and has capacitive touch now. Will definitely be picking one of these up soon!
Great video Wade as usual, let me ask when it comes to pids, how does it compare to banks I dash, I love knowing what my truck is doing and banks covers near damn everything, I can't wait for the update video, stay safe.

Same question, can the CTS3 still allow EFI Live switching on 01-05 Duramax via OBD 2 when EFI Live tune is set to be compatible with serial switching? Edge Website "CTS3 Manual" page doesn't work....
I took the plunge and bought it. It does work to change tunes. However, it seems like the ‘switch’ is only available on one of the screen layouts. I still need to play with it more.
I have an 01 cummins and have the juice with attitude competition with cts2.. my monitor doesn’t respond to touch anymore, can I buy this and plug it in to replace the cts2 that doesn’t work properly anymore?
You presented a nice video, I guess you didn’t know at the time that this is a garbage product. There are a huge amount of complaints on this CTS 3 on their website. I have a 2004 F350 6.0 With 37,600 original miles that is 100% stock and this Edge product after updates locks up & freezes all the time. It just doesn’t measure up. You helped convinced me to purchase one and now I regret it.
For some reason i have the cts2 and mines reads the temperature readings up to 30-40 degrees higher than my actual mechanical gauge on oil trans temp and engine coolant temp.. would be nice to figure out why my insight does not read correctly
I just got the CTS2 three weeks ago, but I am happy with it. I like the capacitive touch and wireless update capeability of the new unit. Unless you use the needle type (analog simulation) gauge dispays, it looks like the data refresh speed might be a little TOO fast on the CTS3. At least looking at the video, it seems hard to get a fix on the digital number when it changes so quickly. The CTS2 refreshes the readings plenty quick to give real time data. Also, in your video, looks like you have the display washed out on the CTS2 with very poor contrast (maybe turned up too bright for the camera?). This is misleading. My CTS2 display looks much better than that, closer to the CTS3 display in your video. I realize the CTS3 uses 720p resolution instead of the 480p of the CTS2, but the CTS2 looks much better than you have it displayed. One more thing that was a little misleading, is that you made it seem like only the CTS3 can do the forced regen on supported vehicles, implying that it is a new feature that you are excited about, when in fact the CTS2 can do the same thing.
We made absolutely no adjustments to either screens display setting. Simply plugged them in and let them run in demo mode. That CTS2 does have a good 7ish years on it though. I assume the main difference in appearance is just how the camera is picking a darker screen and a lighter screen and then trying to balance the color on screen.

I know this video is a few months old now, but my CTS3 doesn’t have the ability to monitor Engine Oil Pressure on my RAM and the Calculated Engine Temp is anywhere from 40° to 60° Are both of these issues common. Thanks Wade
i have a 1996 F350, i als have the Edge CTS2 Evolution. hated the tunes. was told it could be used after i went with antoher set of tunes from DP. just wanted to use it as a gauge cluster. it will not work properly. Will the CTS3 work with a pcm that has been chipped ?
Noticed on the websites verify vehicle fit the newest year available is 2019.. Will this work on a 2020 3.0L duramax? If not when will that be available?
You mentioned that the Insight CTS3 can be updated to the Evolution. Do you know if the Insight CTS3 can be upgraded to an Insight Pro CTS3? I really like the ability to run custom tunes and have heard of people upgrading their Insight CTS2 to an Insight Pro CTS2. I haven't seen an Insight Pro CTS3 anywhere yet.
What is wanna know is how accurate is it gauge for gauge? So if I have a analog egt gauge and this edge cts2 or cts3 monitor with the egt gauge which is more accurate? I understand digital is more accurate as far as numbers go when it involves .1 .2 and so on. I've heard digital gauges could be off 5 to 10 degrees.

I really like both units. I have a lot of experience with both and honestly, its probably a toss up for me. Now the Insight in this video does not do tuning out of the box so if you are looking for a tuner, keep that in mind.
If you run the optional backup camera can you still use the pillar mount since the cable plugs into the bottom edge of the unit? I'm not super familiar with these units so these questions may be a moot point. If using the turbo timer with this system does it plug into the monitor if it does my question is again is it able to be plugged in while using the pillar mount?
I cannot find any info on the Edge Evolution Cts3 programmer. I bought this unit and all they have for tune setting is ECONOMY, DRIVE AND EXTREME. I bought it mostly for towing and there is no setting just for towing.. which setting should I use for TOWING, can you please make a video on setting this unit
I was going to upgrade to the CTS3 soon, but my CTS2 screen is acting up. It thinks I'm pressing about an inch below where I'm actually touching. This happened after I updated it. Seems intentional to force an upgrade... But that's my outlook. Does anyone know if the screen can be calibrated? I'm not seeing that on the CTS2 itself nor my laptop in the software for it. I tow a trailer for work and being stuck in the stock setting is rough. All my extra money at the moment is going to helping my 18 year old get his house ready to move into. Any help is much appreciated
Can this CTS3 be plugged up to the older Edge Juice Attitude? Or do we have to wait for a CTS3 JWA.... and that means uninstalling all the wiring, injector harness, etc. It also looks to be the same backplate adapter as well so can utilize the same gauge pillar mount.
That really sucks if you have edge juice with attitude and a cts monitor already. The cts had a lot to be desired out of the box but a person just wants to upgrade the monitor and he can't. I searched and searched about upgrading and couldn't find information so I bought one. It's still in the box, just got it and now find out it's not compatible. I'll never buy a edge product again.
i have had nothing but problems with my new cts 3.I got it to load the PID'S and the ones that it says it monitors are not even on there. I did the update an now It will not load the pid's keeps giving me an error for timing out. Has any one else had this issue. I have a 2012 6.7 power stroke.
If u buy this one, I assume it's just a "feature" that's locked and has to be unlocked. That's what I got out of what he said in the video. So I'd just buy this one then get it converted when available.
@@cjchico I was wanting to buy it for the tuning features. Sadly I live in California and we have terrible emissions nonsense to deal with. So I would need the CA Evolution edition.
Insight just has the read-only functions, basically everything you saw in this video. The evolution, in addition to having all of the read-only functions, also has 5 pre-written edge tunes for the truck.
There is a company that can help you out for about $500. Same thing happened in my '98.5 cummins around 250k miles. If you're interested, I can look in my records and see which company did that; I cannot remember the name off the top of my head.
My cts 2 isn't slow like your and my screen doesn't look like that. I feel you are REALLY trying to push the cts3 buy making the cts2 look super back when it really doesn't look that bad
The CTS2 is more expensive as well so it’s not a push for more money it’s a push for higher quality product at a better price. It would be odd for us to recommend an older more expensive product at this point.
You can’t trust a review from someone who stands to make more money from selling you on the newer product. For one, the CTS3 does not have MPG monitoring like the CTS2 did. This should be mentioned in any unbiased comparison between the two models. It was a deal breaker for me.
We intentionally don’t mention what is monitored because it varies from vehicle to vehicle. And I’m pretty sure we say that in the video…. but you probably can’t trust this comment either so who knows.
@@thoroughbreddiesel The CTS3 doesn’t offer mpg on any vehicle. Again, something that should have been mentioned. Also, a dead giveaway of a seller’s bias is the lack of pro’s and con’s and a constant praising of the newer, more expensive model. As well as comments such as, “Have you gotten the new CTS3 yet? Do you want one? Order today.”
I would not be so quick to hammer the vendor as they have sent me other places to buy other products not sold by them but didn't try to sell me a product that would not do everything that I wanted for less then the other product that they sell. They have done this twice for me. So they lost 2 sales to their competition to satisfy a customer. They really are just trying to satisfy your needs. I also got technical support for stuff I didn't buy from them. And did a follow-up call the next day to make sure my issue was solved. I have never been rushed or pressured to buy any products from them( help me fix a existing product when I was ready to buy a replacement) that just great customer service. I will do repeat business with them again. I am in no way associated with there company.
@@seanbrossard8178 The video is titled as a “vs” type of video. When that phrasing is used it is understood that they are going to compare pros and cons of both models. It also implies that it is not a video about trying to get you to buy the latest model from the content creator. Misleading and lacking vital info.
I had an edge CTS2 juice with attitude that shorted out and damaged all my injectors and edge refused to cover any of the cost. Ill never buy anything edge again.
